Hi everyone!
It has been a little while since I have posted on here, so much has happened. Today I came on here to check recent posts and to pick your brains.. smilewinkgrin     Over the past 2 weeks I have noticed a hard lump in the bend of my right arm were you would normally have blood taken. it started out pea sized but now is more marble sized. I have also noticed over the last few days numbness in  that arm and pain in my elbow. Its a bit uncomfortable to say the least. Has anyone had this or heard about this? I can't make an appointment with my doctor for a few weeks since i now self pay for all my healthcare. Any insight would be great...

I have the same thing. The folks that take my blood every month said they think it is scar tissue from having the blood taken from the same spot so often. Not a real dx, but they may be right ^^

Hi!
More info? Did you have blood taken? or an insect bite? Is it inflammed, red or radiating warmth or a track line up your arm?  Did it start out as the size of a pea? How fast does it seem to be getting bigger? Can you bend your arm? Is there a pulse in your wrist? Fingers ok? Does your hand look just like the other one?  If you were my daughter, (can't give any medical advice except to have a dr. look at it), I'd vote scar tissue is a good quess possibility, or even a cyst, (which is just a fluid filled sac) and maybe suggest a warm soak, (warm water on a cloth wrapped in a towel) to see if that helped at all, and where is the numbness exactly? How bad is the pain? and is it worse at sometimes more than others?  My biggest worry would be an infection, and have you ever had numbness in your arm before? My arms and wrists and legs get numb and tingly alot. tongue   and if your gut is telling you to worry, call your dr to be on the safe side.
hugs,
suetoo

Actually I always have blood taken in the other arm...so I don't think it's scar tiisue. It started out real tiny. I have numbness and tingling from the elbow down now. And also I have this neverending ache in my elbow. The bump is like the size of a marble and is more on the towards the side then in the middle of the bend. Its a hard lump but I can move it side to side kind of...It's really gross cry .  It's only on my right arm.... it's very strange, making an appointment this week. I am a little concerend since it's not going away and now the ache and numbness get worse by the day... confused

I hope the doctors can see you quickly -- it sounds a little scary. But maybe it's just an inflamed lymph node or something simple.

Hi, it might be a calcium deposit? Is it painful? I've had calcium deposits in several joints i just have to press them out or give them a smack so they break up and go away. It hurts but it's worth it.

It doesn't hurt to push on it, I get a weird senstation in my elbow when I do, but not painful... I did notice something odd the other day... I had a beer this weekend (it's my birthday) and after drinking it, I had this horrible pain in my neck/upper back and then down that arm where that lump is and into my elbow. I felt like that till the next day. Can't see doctor till next week.... cry

Ok made an appointment for wednesday, I hope my doc can shed some light on this, I think I am going through a flare... having trouble walking because my knees are so sore and my ankles keep poping, and I am so dizzy, wonderful. I am starting to feel like I did before I started the meds, not good... I will let you all know what the doctor says....

Came across this as looking for the same type of thing as what you had, that my wife currently has. What did this end up being? Hope all is well!

This is a very old thread and I haven't seen any more posts from any of these people. Sorry.

Have your wife go see her primary and have it checked out asap.

Thanks. Was hoping someone would be emailed on it that there's been a reply, but did see that it's pretty old. She's heading in, hopefully all turns out okay.
