Hi All,

Haven't posted in a while.  Going to the dr. tomorrow because I fell asleep while driving the other day.  I am working full time and am always tired so I drink a lot of coffee to get me through the day.  Anyway, I decided to stop drinking caffeine and went for 24 hours without it.  On the way home from work on Thursday I stopped at a red light.  The next thing I knew I heard cars whizzing by me.  I opened my eyes and the people behind me were trying to go around me.  It really scared me.  Needless to say I started drinking caffeine again.  But I am worried that something else is going on.  Ishouldn't have to drink that much coffee to stay awake.

Any advice?

Hi! That would be so scary! I am glad that you are checking with a doctor. Hope all went well at your appointment! I must confess to drinking a caffeinated soda or two every day. If I don't I end up with a terrible headache.
Take care, Fran

Well, my doctor wants me to have a sleep study done.  She said that falling asleep while driving is a classic symptom of sleep apnea.  I guess we'll see.  Right now I think I am beginning to flare so I won't be going anywhere until I feel better.

I'll let you know what happens with the sleep study.
