I had a follow up with my Rheumy who ordered a MRI due to Suspession that I am dealing with inflammation in my brain. What came back was something quite different and quite scary. The report apparently says "possible aneurysm" in the back of the brain; I'm sure their is a more scientific terminology but I have misplaced my copy. They could not get a good view because of the location and the MRI was ordered without dye. So my doctor has ordered another MRI with dye to be done.

I always have headaches/migraines, but this is scary because I've been telling my doctors for months and months something was not right. I've been having the oddest pain in my face, head and behind my right eye. It went away for awhile and last night it started again with advengence! It honestly feels like someone is taking a pick axe to my head at times. I am hoping this is simply inflammation related, I have my IVIG tomorrow and Wednesday and will get solumedrol as a part of my premeds, perhaps that will calm this down until they get the MRI scheduled and all figured out.

Thank you for allowing me a place to voice my worries, I'm trying to play it cool with my family and tell them I'm not going to let this get to me until I get the next MRI results. I feel I put them through too much as it is.

Hugs,
Melissa

Melissa,

I hope your MRI is scheduled soon so your waiting will be over. Every time I've had a head MRI they've done it both with and without contrast at the same time - I guess so they can catch things like this.

Hang in there!

Wishing you good luck and hope it's nothing serious.
