I am so bloody tired! My Lupus is pretty quiet these days, but sometimes I am reminded of it full force. I simply can NOT do a 4-6 hour day, especially if it requires any kind of focused mental or physical activity.

I am having all the carpet in my home replaced Friday. This means figuring out how to move 30 years of stuff out of the way, when they are doing both bedrooms & the living room. Can't get it all in the bathrooms, dining room, and kitchen!!!! I may never find things again - including the cat!

Wish me luck in figuring out how to get thru this, without being too much of a perfectionist and starting a huge flare.

Wishing you lots of luck and as stress free a renovation job as possible. We are also replacing all 1st floor carpeting right after the New Year and I have no idea where I am going to put everything!
Take care, Fran

We've done that many times over the years as we fix one room at a time. We changed from Carpet to carpet to hardwood over the past 17 years. It never gets any easier.

Take it easy and don't overdo it.

I was going to do it one room at a time, but seemed to never get anything done. Finally decided one BIG (huge!) uproar was easier on me than lots of small uproars. (I hate things being in disarray.)

Thanks for your support!

Hi Lynnwood. We replaced carpet with laminate downstairs and in my room several months ago. One of my two bedroom closets is still stuffed with things. I'm sure you will get your house back in order before I finish mine. Love, Butterflake

Hi Lynnwood,

Sorry to hear the renovations are wearing you out so badly, but I totally understand. Even though your lupus is quiet I'm sure the stress of all of it is totally exhausting and as we lupies understand that will do wierd things to our body.

Hang in there and try to take it as easy and slow as possible. Gentle hugs to you.

Melissa

Carpet is in, and bed is made. Everything else is in total uproar - hoping to find my clean underwear so I can take a shower.

The cat keeps going out, checking out some carpet, then coming back and checking that I am still here and that I know things have changed.

I am not hurrying to get things back, really want to clean and repair as I go -- just trying to do as much as I can, then rest.
