Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering if any one has experienced bad chest pains and if so is there anything you can do to subdue the pain?  I'm okay today, but the past couple of days were rough...everytime I would breathe in I would get a shooting pain in my chest and my chest was just aching all the time.
Thanks! :) yeah

If you are getting chest pains with breathing I would definitely recommend going to see a doc ASAP. The first thing that comes to my mind when I read your symptoms is pleurisy although I'm sure there are other things that can cause it but you may want to get it checked just at least for peace of mind. I hope you find some answers.

Like des said chest pain is somthing you need to see your doctor about. It could be many things. I've had chest pains and my pcp thinks I have somthing going on with my liver. I would have never thought of that. I know many people on here have mentioned chest pains. but I would still say better safe than sorry. See you doctor.

I agree with Des and Carol, chest pains are not to be ignored, maybe you should see your doctor and get it checked just to be safe. I have them too and went through testing, all was well so they figured it's pleurisy but just for peace of mind I went through the testing. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

I strongly agree with the others. There are several possibilities as to what is causing the pain and you should get it checked out. You'll want to make sure your heart is okay and also get checked for pleurisy. Also, costochondritis can cause chest pain and is caused by inflammation in the chest and rib area.

I hope you get some relief soon. Let us know how things are going.

Take care
