First of all happy mothers day to all you mom's out there. I hope you get spoiled rotten!
I have a question about RLS. I'm not sure if that is what this is or not. It doesn't hurt or anything. and it isn't an every day occurance in fact it's only occasionally. I have this nagging in my legs once in awhile where I have to get up and move around maybe do some streches or litterally pound on them to get some kind of reaction. It seems like it starts from right above my tail bone . No pain like a pinched nerve or anything. Just annoying. Somtimes I'll try to pound on the spot on my back like if I get it working right my legs will follow suit. It's really hard to explain. Usually if I take a little somthing extra to put me to sleep it's gone in the morning and no big deal. But today I still have that nagging feeling. Like I really could use a deep leg message or something. I don't think it's anything I need yet another pill for but I was just wondering if you have RLS if it ever bothers you during the day? maybe it's just a swollen muscle cutting off circulation or somthing?
any thoughts
thanks
love

I don't have RLS, so all I can tell you is what I hear about it from others who have had it. I've heard that the symptoms can vary to feeling like you have bugs crawling on your legs, to feeling like your legs can't relax, to having them twitc and jerk while you are falling asleep/sleeping. Of course you know I'm going to tell you to talk to your doc about it next time you see him :)

I hope it's something you can get some relief from without having to take another pill, which is something I know most of us want to avoid.

Have a good night and I hope your son remembers to give you a call!!!

LOL thanks hippie, actually he just called about a half an hour ago he was still at work. I said wait a minute I have to set down I got a card AND  A PHONE CALL???????LOL it was nice. I think it might just be something with my back because I was playing a game and sat at a hard kitchen table chair for a long time last night. I'll kind of keep that in my head and see if it happens the next time I do that. Like I said it's not a big deal I was just curious. I have had the jerking before just as I was starting to dose off boy I hate that. fortunately that is very infrequent also.

Omega thank you for replying and your always so kind to me. Hugs

Hope you had a great day

love

Carol, I do have RLS and Hippi described it precisely. My legs don't hurt, but sometimes they drive me batty with the feeling of bugs crawling under my skin and I cannot, I mean cannot keep them still. It has driven my ex-husband and my hubby both crazy because I wiggle them at night, awake and asleep. I take something for it.

What you have described doesn't resemble my RLS. I'm glad you got a call from your doc and think you're on the right track.

Gosh Patty that sounds horrible. I hope ya have a king size bed! I'm surprised they didn't make you sleep on the couch! I'm sorry I'm just messing with ya. Wow you sound like you have some terrible problem with it. I'm so sorry. ((((patty)))). Thanks for sharing your experience. What is going on with me is nothing like that. Ocassional when i dose off I jump what feels like 10  ft. off the bed. It's like a feeling of catching myself falling. it's weird but it's nothing like what you go through. Man you must not get very good sleep.

I hope your medicine helps

thanks again love ya

Hi Carol,
I hope your legs are feeling better by now. I have RLS and agree with Pat. It can be a creepy crawly feeling, tightness, or antzy type feeling in your legs mostly when laying down at night. It can drive you crazy! I have had this since I was about 23 years old. I took Klonopin for years with some relief and it stopped working completely. Now I take Mirapex and it does wonders for mine.
Let us know what you find out. Take care and know that I do keep reading although I'm not posting much. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
Lots of love and hugs, Babs
