I've noticed that bending over really has an effect on me.  I don't know if my BP is up or what exactly is going on but if a chore involves a lot of bending over, I'm useless.  I sometimes get a pain in my chest, my head doesn't feel right and it's like I can feel the energy leaving my body as I am in that position.
Does that bother anyone else?

Sandp,
Bending over makes me extremely lightheaded and takes my breath away but I attribute that to low bp. And of course, bending over backwards trying to feel normal is always a huge pain.

sandspoker, I also have trouble bending over for several reasons. Not only does it bother my head and get me a little short of breath, it causes a lot of pain in my knees and back. I'm not sure why all of this happens though. I just assumed it was because I was out of shape, heavy, and have bad joints.

Hi sue, sorry you are going through this. I have problems like that. I even feel pressure in my face when I bend over. I have high blood pressure. I think a lot has to do with my lungs though. bending a certain way makes it harder to breath. Have you discussed it with your doctor?
hope you find out what is going on

Hey Carol - You know, I can feel the pressure in my face too redface  - I actually went to the doctor today and forgot to mention it to him (my GP though).  My BP was normal today so that was good news as it's been up lately and historically, my BP was never an issue.

So much can go on with this disease eh?  It seems we never know what can be attributed to the Lupus or if its something else going on...

Hi Sue:

I like Hippi have issues bending over with my back and hips. As well, I have troubles breathing all the time. My biggest trouble is climbing a flight of stairs. There are days I consider crawling up them instead of attempting to walking them.

Glad to hear that you BP was normal. Hope you start to feel less dizzy and things improve for you soon.

Take care,
Barbara
