A lot has been going on in my home, my grandma (87 yrs old) recently came to live with us, it was kinda unexpected but it's best for her. She has been wanting to come here for a while now as she wasn't happy living with some other family members but I wasn't sure how it would affect my health and I was led to believe she was in bad shape and unable to do certain things for herself. Anyway, my life is a little busier now but it's worth it. At first I thought I had to be with her every minute but I've relaxed a little more and rest when needed and trying to take very good care of myself. I went back on my original NSAID (after trying others per docs orders) and feeling a lot better than I was. I tell you... my body doesn't like it when my meds get changed, so hopefully I won't have to go thru that again anytime soon.

Just wanted to let you all know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I'm here just not as often as before :-) I've tried to read post here and there. I hope each of you are doing well and had a Happy Mother's Day! hugs and love to all!!

Welcome back Stacie :-)

Glad you are feeling lots better!!  I know what you mean, switching meds can be a real bummer.
Maybe having your grandma around will be good for you, you certainly sound positive about it and that is great!
Hope you had a nice Mother;s day too hon

Stacie, we missed you and I was hoping you hadn't gotten really sick. I'm glad you got back to the med that helped you before and that you are now feeling better.

That was very sweet of you to take your grandmother in and I am hoping that it works out well for your family and for your grandma. It's good that you are now finding ways to get rest during the day. Make sure that you take time to take care of yourself too.

We're glad to have you back.

Thank you all :-) I have a full time job but thankfully my hours were cut a couple of months ago. I was a little upset at first but getting a day off a week sure has been nice yeah now I know this was all a part of God's plan. The day off a week allows me to take my grandma to the doctor, run errands, get her out of the house, etc. I am sure not to over do it and usually lay down for a while after returning home.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Stacie, anyone who would take in their grandmother when they're feeling as bad as you is a real saint. I hope the extra work and responsibility doesn't hurt your health. Sorry you're feeling worse and I hope there's not too much stress in your life. Take care of yourself and hug your grandma. What I wouldn't give to have mine back! But the stress of taking care of my elderly parents sent me into 2 year flare. I worry that you'll overdo it because you're such a good person. I hope your doctor's appointment goes well and that your rheumy can help you. Let us know how you're doing.

Thanks guys! If it were up to my grandma we would be out scooter-pooping all the time, well not really.... she's not up to it but she likes to talk about it, lol!

Pat, I knew this change would take a toll on me but I wanted my grandma's last days, weeks, months or years to be happy good ones not miserable and in a hateful environment. My hours have been cut at work to 32 hrs since Feb and that has been a tremendous help, see everything happens for a reason. Now I don't know what I would do if I had to go back to 40 hrs a week, lol! My boss is also very understanding, so I know all will work out just fine.

Thank you for all the prayers, I know that is the one thing that keeps me going. Hugs and love to all!

Stacie, what a gift you have given your grandmother - I give you so much credit for having her live with you. I pray that you can continue to manage everything without your health being affected too much. It's great that you have a understanding boss - that helps a lot.

We always enjoy updates when you get a chance. Take care and you continue to be in my thoughts.
