I told her about my rash on arm, she said that she wasn't to worried about rash on arm she knows also that I'm self paid, she though worry about the mask on my face. Now I'm not sure if it was just from me telling her or if she saw it, she ordered a Lupus test also checking my blood count and liver and kidneys.

I also told her about my temp going up and down and like most on here has said she told me it was body fighting against itself. By her telling me this tells me that she knows there's some autoimmune thing going on in my body we just have to find out what.

This is great, this is the first time I saw her and she didn't waste anytime on checking things out. Plus I also expalined to her that my sister is going through same thing as well as my aunt and cousin have been tested.

I'll know in about 3 days.

Hi Veronica,

I'm glad your doctor is listening to you and trying to help find out what is going on with you. Having your doctors really listen and care about what you are going through is so important. Please let us know how the tests go! I also got that "I have arthritis too" from lots of people. Its unnerving at times but I try not to let it get to me anymore. Unfortunately, I don't think we ever get away from that.

Take Care

Veronica it definitely sounds like you are getting somewhere with this doctor and I agree it sounds like she thinks you have something autoimmune going on. I hope after you get your labs back you will have some more answers.

Keep us updated on what you find out with your labs. Take care

Yes, the first time I saw the rheumy he ran tests. To me, that makes perfect sense -- If I'm there, I must think something is wrong, and they want to prove/disprove it as soon as possible, so they run tests immediately. Infinitely better than the docs who immediately say it's all in your head and never run tests!

Sounds like you've stumbled across a good doctor!!!

Hey Veronica, I'm so glad you have a proactive doctor this time. They are hard to come by. I hope your tests give you some answers. I don't want you to get too frustrated if they don't come back the way the doctor expects. Tests can somtimes be very deceiving. They can change considerably from one time to the next. I just hope this time is the time where things are happening and they start getting you on the right meds.
about your neighbor. that sounds about right. I told my mom my tests have come back that I am anemic and she said Yeah I've said all my life I was anemic that's my excuse for being tired all the time! I learned not to discuss this with her. That's why I come here and can be around people that understand.
