Geez....

I almost forgot to post this. I started poking around researching alzheimers with 2 brain cells working and absolutely no retention skills. Why I am bothering I don't know. I guess the same reason I vacuumed today. This is what I do when I don't know what to do with stress energy. And tomorrow I will pay. And pay. And pay. We know how that goes.

Anway. On thrusday i laid down for my nap with out a blemish on either cheek. When I got up 2 hours later I had a red area on my left cheek about 3/4 of an inch long by 1/2 of an inch wide. In the center it was like a rug burn or something. On sat. I rubbed what I guess was a scab although I couldn't see it, off, and it started bleeding. Now it still looks red but seems to have formed another 'scab'. It stung a little but not bad.

Nothing happened to cause this. I laid down. Slept. Got up. And presto--there it was! Did aliens visit and mark me? Just wondering if anyone has had a spot(s) like this...Thanks. And now I have to shut off my stress brain and go to bed. Actually I am about to drop.

Hi it's me again. I have gotten something similiar to that before. It's lots like a bunch of tiny water blisters that you can't really see until they pop or you mess with them. I don't know if it's the same thing or not. but i have gone to bed and gotten up with this before. It seems to happen when I either have an infection or I'm really stressed out. I noticed you don't have any meds listed. Do you take any? You know what it could be??????????????. It the revenge of the finch! Yep he snuck in with a knife and carved up your face. So it was either ET or TF (the finch) . I would say the TF had more of a reason. LOL. Now you'll have to start wearing a hockey mask to bed like Jason.
On a serious note though. Try to keep it clean and soft so it doesn't scar. It seems like my face scars so easily compared to other parts of my body.
All my love
norman

Hey emmi, this could be our first case of an alien abduction of a lupy. I don't really know what the thing on your face could be, but if it's not healing or if it stays there it would be a good idea to show your doc. Years ago I had a co-worker who got something like that on her face and it was pre-cancerous skin cells. Most likely that's not what is going on with you, but I'm a worrying mother hen. My other thought was maybe some kind of insect or spider bit you while you were sleeping, or maybe it was just the aliens.

Take care and I hope the spot on your face heals soon.

Hi emmi, The way you describe it almost sounds "discoidish" (is that a word??). I would definitely have your doc take a look at it. He may prescribe some steroid cream to aid in the healing. Hope it heals fast and without scarring.

Take Care

OMG...come to think of it, there was some very faint, far-off sounding panting. It probably was that little SOB alien finch. Carol, how in the world did that come to you. Ahhhh, you were in Norman mode....I just recalled your signature.

Seriously, I am interviewing (I like the sound of that, it makes me feel in charge of something since everything else is spinning off its axis) a potential new PCP on Wed. I will be showing her the damage or what is left of it. I did try to get a picture; now just have to print it and see how it looks. Maybe I'll enhance it to really make the finch look like a fiendish SOB!

Carol,
Yes, I do take meds: Plaquenil, keppra, topamax, verapamil, cellcept, effexorXR, levothyroxine, gabapentin, fish oil, multi vitamin with calcium, IVIg infusions--that stands for immuno globulin (if and when insurance approves them; we're appealing the first denial).

Des, discoid lesions actually did cross my mind. I don't think this thing is one though. Do I have any reason for saying that? No. Absolutely none. that's why I'm glad I'm going to see a doctor on Wed. And I'm hoping for no scar as well!

Emmi--
Sounds like it's time to get a cat. Sometimes I get that little blister thing, I think its acne. I hope its something simple like you accidently rugburned yourself in your sleep or something and a little neomycin or something is all you ever need. Good luck with the new doc.

A cat! Why didn't I think of that. I will have to check with my dog on that. Hmmm, I could have dog/cat fights for entertainment if there's not enought excitement in my life!

I'm really hoping I like this new dr. I need a new PCP. And maybe she even recognizes alien/bird/rug/bug/blister/acne/discoid h*ll, it's probably imaginary spots. Just so she didn't get her degree from Uranus. That's still a planet, isn't it? Thanks, Marji!
