This is probably not related to Lupus but it is totally strange.  On Sunday my husband broke out into a rash with hives that has gotten worse daily(going to the dr. this afternoon).  Anyway, we both just assumed that it is a heat rash or allergic reaction to something he ate.  Well, last night I started getting the same weird rash.  It isn't as severe as his but looks just the same.  Am I having sympathy pains or is he contagious?  I can't think of anything that he could have been exposed to that would be contgious.  We live in the desert with not a lot of foliage.  I suppose we could both have a heat rash but it is just so weird that we would both have it at the same time.  Also, it doesn't look like a typical heat rash.  Oh well, I'll let you know what the doc says.  If it was just on me I would chalk it up to a Lupus rash, but unless hubby has Lupus, too, that isn't what it is.

Have a great day!!!

I usually look to weather I have new shampoo or laundry soap. Once I got a bad rash because the clothes didn't rinse out well and I had residual in my clothes. do you have pets? have you useed anything on them? If you are in a dessert it could be heat rash. after 23 years in phoenix I can relate to heat rash.
I hope you get to the bottom of it soon

I agree with okie on the laundry soap. My water is really soft right now and its not rinsing soap out very good. Sometimes colds and stuff cause a rash. Do you have ticks? Could be medicine rash, sometimes people get rashes with pain meds. I'm glad you're going to the doc and would be curious to know what it is. Oh, if you have done any consturction in your house that involves glue, we had a bunch of people at my old office get a rash all at once from the fumes from carpet glue, and fiberglass is bad too. Take care and hope you both feel better.
Love, Marji

I think we have gotten to the reasons of what is causing or rashes.  My husban apparently is having an allergic reaction to medication he was taking.  HIs doctor gave him a steroid shot and put him on Medrol for a week.  My doctor said that mine was most likely due to MCTD and gave me steroid cream to put on.  Both of us are getting better so thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

My sister is coming to visit the end of this week so I am going to be cleaning house and getting ready for her.  I am going to try and not tire myself out.  I want to be able to enjoy her visit.

Have a good week everyone!!!!!

Mary Ann
