Hi all, sorry I've not been around much, well posting anyway, I visit everyday. I know there are a lot of us having some problems right now and I pray things get better for each of you.

I have a question for those of you with lupus / fibro with lower back pain. Has your doctor been able to pinpoint the problem? Do you know which of the two is the culprit or is it something else? I may be in a flare as my other joints are painful right now, mainly my wrist, fingers and feet.

My pain is in the center of my lower back and it's been killing me since Sunday. I usually have back pain here and there, never for this many days in a row. I called my rheumy to get something for the pain and for headaches and she gave me Loratab. I haven't tried it yet, not sure how I will react to it, will wait until this weekend to try it.

Sorry for the whine, I just wanted to see if anyone else out there is suffering with lower back pain confused eyes confused

Stacy,
((Hugs)) I hope the Loratab will bring you some relief. I have periods of lower back pain. It's better for me now, but in the past it was a constant aching pain. Most things I did aggrevated it.
Let us know how the med goes and try to get some rest. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Stacie, sorry to hear your back is giving you such a rough time. My back has been sore this week also but I have another lovely bladder infection going on so I put it down to that. Who knows with this disease, there is so much to deal with with Lupus that sometimes i don't know if i am coming or going.

I hope you get feeling better soon.

Hi Stacie.  My back pain is usually between my shoulder blades and like you, I don't know if it's the fibro or the lupus.  I hope the loritab helps and you can get some rest.  ((hugs))

Thanks guys :-)

The pain seems a little better today but now I've noticed the pain radiating into my hips. I don't know what this is but if it's still bothering me next week I am going to request an x-ray.

I am also trying the Loratab for the first time tonight and I am only taking 1/2 tab until I know how it will affect me. Thanks again ladies, you are all the best!!!
