Hello all,

I was finally able to get all my blood work from my Rheumy and the diagnosis is ::drumroll::

Primary Sjogren's

So I "only" have Sjogren's. A bit of relief, but I kept asking him, "So I don't have Lupus?" and he said he couldn't say that. So I'm just in monitoring mode. I go back in another 6 weeks. I declined any medications since I'm trying to get in a baby-way.

I think it is funny, people think I have some sort of Japanese restaurant-related illness. I just describe it as the little cousin to Lupus. Related, but not the same.

Take care,

Sarah

Sarah, I'm glad you are getting some answers. I love the way you explain Sjogren's as a cousin to lupus. It really does have a lot of the same symptoms. Like your doc said, you may also have lupus and time will probably tell whether you have it or not.

Good luck with trying to get pregnant. From what I have read, some women with autoimmune diseases actually feel better while they are pregnant (something to do with hormones) but then they can crash after giving birth.

Keep us updated on how you are doing and we'd love to hear if the stork is going to be making a visit.

Take good care of yourself :)
