Hello All :-)
I haven't been on-line for some time - how is everyone doing?  I've missed you all yeah ...
Work and just life in general has been extremely hecticl!!!  I've been trying to spend my free time outside now that the nice weather is here and as a result, I haven't been on-line much lately.  My flowers do look good though :) It's amazing what water can do to a garden... lol
How has everyone been feeling?  I've been feeling much better in some ways (getting some much needed relief from the pleurisy pain) but man oh man, have I been feeling stressed out and tired over the last couple of months (this is my busy time of the year at work).  My joints have been sore and my legs... OUCH!!!  I've been super emotional too - I guess it's just a combination of things  sad .
Oh the joys!!
Anyway - I'm back so wanted to say hi to everyone - let me know how you've been!!!
Sands...

Sands, it's good to see you back here again. I'm glad you have been enjoying the summer, but sorry you are dealing with all the crummy symptoms of this lovely disease. Until this week, I've had a great summer. I was thoroughly enjoying doing a lot with my kids and was even starting to exercise. I planted flowers for the very first time this year and I've really enjoyed it. Then this week, it all caught up to me and I started flaring. I've increased my prednisone a little and today I've gotten some relief, so I hope I'm on my way back to feeling better again.

I hope your stress level goes down some - I'll bet gardening is a nice stress reliever. Take care and I'm glad you stopped by to give us an update.

Sands - Welcome back! Glad to hear you are doing well for the most part and doing your best to stay active. Also, glad the flowers are surviving. They do cheer me up too. Reminds me of all the beautiful things in the world even on yucky days. Try and rest a lot too. Sometimes when I push it too hard everything seems stressful. I'll skip on the how have I been part. Not the best summer I've had, but I am still moving and groving.

Hope to hear from you again soon - Kristin

Sands, I'm glad you came back and check in with us. It sounds like gardening has been good for you this summer, but I'm sorry to hear about all the other problems. This is the first year I have not put out flowers and my beds must have missed them because some annuals I had planted last year came up again. Just three or four, but enough to make me smile. I'm about the same - you know the rollercoaster - some days good, some rough, but all in all, better than I was this time last year. I think it's because of a new rheumy and new meds.

Don't stay away so long! Unless you're having fun. Good to hear from you.

Sands, So nice to see you!! I'm glad you are enjoying the summer and getting out a bit. We put a new flowerbed (did I say we? I meant my husband lol) in the front yard to circle around the pathway and the lawn got fertilized so things are looking prettier for us too. It's nice to hear about your flowers, I can't seem to keep them alive so I go for green stuff (small bushes, ground cover, etc). I would love to be able to keep flowers... they are so nice but I just admire my neighbors' yards instead lol.

What a warm welcome back!!!
I posted then I had to leave again - we were gone for almost a week then it took another week for me to recover...lol  We went to an annual "party/reunion" in my home town.  We were out on the Saturday afternoon for about 4 hours (standing!!!) then we went back to my Mothers for a few hours.  I really didn't have it in me to go back that night but my husband said that he really, really wanted to go so I did... BIG MISTAKE!!!!   The next morning, I couldn't get out of bed, the pain was so intense!  When we got home, I was wiped but of course, I had been away from work so I had to play catch up - not good but here I am a week later - almost everything at work is under control again and I have been catching up on rest so getting better...
We SO have to pace ourselves eh?
We have nothing planned this weekend so I'm going to try to catch up with the housework and then I'll be in control (whatever that is..lol) again.
It's good to hear from you all - thanks for replying!!!

Sometimes we gotta live and need a chance to be free from the disease for a bit. Just once in a while. Still the consequences stink. Hope you catch up with your rest. There is just so much for us to do sometimes. It is crazy. Glad you had some fun over the week! Take care - Kristin
