Well here is the scoop so far, blood tests galore another appt in 10 days . She thinks I possibly have Spondylitis and not Lupus. I hope the blood tests show something. I just want some answers! I am having such severe low back and hip pain along with the severe nerve pain in my legs and feet. We are keeping pain meds as is until we get the lab results I guess If it keeps up or increasing I can call my PCP or Rheumy for something stronger. My blood pressure was up but I am sure that had to do with the severity of the pain.

I am finally at the tail end of this terrible cold. I sure hope I'm feeling better soon. I hope everyone is doing ok. Just wanted to give an update...

My father has Ankylosing Spondilitis. It is indeed a very painful auto immune condition. I was tested for that when I first went in to the rheumy as like all AI diseases, it can be familial.

Let us know when you get the blood tests back.

So sorry your hurting so much.

Hi Sheryl, I'm so sorry you are hurting so badly. I have to admit I had to look up spondylitis. It sounds absolutely terrible. I see you are taking vicodin 7.5. If that isn't helping you must really be in a lot of pain. Bless your heart! It seems like all the doctors want to do their own blood tests no matter how soon it's been since the last ones were done. I hope they get you some answers soon. The waiting is always agonizing. I would be asking for somthing more for pain if it's that bad. You have the right to not be in pain if it is at all possible. Thans for letting us know how things are going. I hope your cold continues to get better and your pain decreases.
Keeping you in my prayers
God Bless

Sheryl, I really hope the the blood work shows something and can at least start to give you some answers. Like Darlene said, so many of these illnesses have a lot of similarities and that's why it can be hard to pinpoint exactly what is wrong and which disease you might have. Waiting can be so hard and 10 days can feel like 100. I really wish you could find something to help relieve your pain. There's nothing worse than being in severe pain with nothing to relieve it.

Keep us updated on what you find out from the rheumy and take care
