Hi Jen.

I went last year on the advice of a friend, reluctantly. I will never go back.  He "adjusted" my neck and I was in the ER twelve hours later with the headache of a lifetime.  The cracking sound my neck made was scary! It took five days for me to be able to function again.  Coincidence?... doubtful.

I've heard others who have had marginal to good results.  I guess it depends on the chiropractor, but I wouldnt recommend it.

Personally, I prefer a massage.  I dont get them very often because they are so pricey, but when I do they are such a blessing.  :-)

Hi, wow, that sucks that you had such a bad experience. It sounds like maybe the Chiro was not very good.
Oh, I love a good massage also, but went only once for a massage and the girl was too soft. I'm lucky in that my insurance covers massages. I'll get one, but I think I need more of an adjustment.
My sister has been going to one for a yr and swears by him.
It's such a conflicting topic.
Thanks for your input
Jen

If you can get a good referral to a chiropractor that someone you know has been going to for awhile than I think that's good. I think I have a fear of them because I know one wrong move and it could be devastating. I also seem to freeze up a lot in those kind of situations just from the nervousness and I know you are supposed to be completed relaxed or you can have problems. Good luck with it.

On the massages, I used to love them. The last one I had though really hurt and it was the same lady that did me before so I don't think she had a change of routine. When I left, I felt like I got into a bad rumble and beaten up pretty bad. Just felt bruised. I would like to try again but I'm not sure.
