  Welcome advantage,
You've come to a good place there are some great people here who know how support you. What you discribe is how it started for me, but from me feet up. My feet felt like they were going to break in two across the instep. It has since moved to my hip right side only. (it was both my feet) The only thing that helped me was to go on steriods for alittle bit. I think it was like 10 days can't be sure, but that sounds right. I've never done them for more than 10 days.
Hip pain is still with me I was trying to stay away from the riods for a year do to the weight gain.

I hope this helps. I'm sure the others will be along be for long with more.
 take care of you.

Hi advantage, welcome to the group. I do have my fair share of knee pain in my right knee. Also my right foot. I think it is more because I was in an accident years ago and I tend to baby my left foot more. It became a habit to step off the porch and stuff with my right leg first. I'm on 5mg pred. That seems to help alot with all of my inflamation that and the plaq. I hope you have a rheumy that can help you with your meds since you are getting worse. It doesn't sound like your other meds are working very well for you anymore.
Again welcome to the group

Advantage,

Is your ankle pain arthritis? I have been finding bruises on my heels, but don't know how I get them, but they really bother me. I also have tendenitis in the tendon on my left heel. I think it's the achiles. My rheumy told me I need to stretch it. There is some arthritis in my ankles but nothing like my knees, hands, and elbows. But not just on one side. What does your doctor say?
