I woke up this morning with a swollen knee. I can't bend it without a sharp pain shooting down my leg. Hobbling down the stairs wasn't fun. And I had to take my dog out for a walk because he refuses to use the backyard and I almost tripped getting down the front porch cause he dashed out the door. So we took a very slooooow walk around the block.

I did take some tylenol for the pain, but don't think it's working. May have to take something stronger later on if it doesn't kick in. I haven't had any swollen joints in a few months. So I'd guess it came back with a vengence.

*sigh* Guess I'm stuck at home today with my leg propped up on the couch. It doesn't hurt as long as I don't move or bend it.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Heidi, I'm so sorry about your knee. It sounds like you're doing the right thing about keeping it propped up on the couch. Do you ever put ice on it? If the ice is too much for you, I find that wrapping a bag of ice in a thin towel and letting it rest on your knee (or in my case my hands) can help. I hope taking it easy gives you some relief.

So I'm not the only one with a spoiled dog. :)

Take care,

Pat

Heidi, Ouch, that hurts my knee just thinking about it. I have a tendency to mess up my knee at night while sleeping because it will feel like its twisted in the morning. I agree with Pat... ice will probably help the swelling. Take it easy though and let it heal. If the joints feel hot, you may want to take a NSAID (if you can) because Tylenol will not help with inflammation. I hope it gets better.

And my dog is just as spoiled rotten too :-)
