hey everyone, this post is a little graphic so please read at your own risk....

about 3 days ago i woke up and had diarrhea....or as i call it "mud butt" lol.
It was so awful and it lasted for the whole day...it was literally liquid and it was really hard to keep from going all over myself. I always made it to the bathroom on time but it really concerned me that I had this ongoing diahrrhea. I waited till the next day and I thought it was all gone when I went to sleep the night before, but when I woke up there was some poo stuff on my undies.. (not a lot or anything but it was still gross) they were some of my favorite undies too and i had to throw them away because i was so disgusted!
anyways for the rest of that day I did not have as much loose stool but it was still softer than normal. The past couple days it has been ok although today it was still a little loose and I had a stomach ache.

Is this a bacterial infection, and do i need to go to the hospital or contact my doctor?? It seems to be improving and i dont want to be a hypochondriac lol...Sorry about the grossness of this post but i appreciate anyone's advice or if they have experienced this!!

Hi Cali,

Sorry for the pooh . . .

Did you start any new meds recently? Sometimes that can cause stomach upset, pain, constipation or diarrhea.

Sounds like you are on the mend . . . Depending on what meds got pooped out . . . for instance, birth control pills . . . use some additional form of birth control until after your next period.

Hopefully some of the others will have something to add.

Glad you are starting to feel better.

Blessings!

Hi Cali,
I hope you are doing alot better by now and it was just a bug or an adjustment to a new med like Rosie said. Update us when you can and take care. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi, MissCali. Sorry for your nightmare poo problems. I have been there SO many times during the last year...going from the extreme you are dealing with now, to the other very constipated end! I believe mine have always involved my meds though. (Mostly when a change has occurred.) If the problem continues, I'd definitely run it by my rheumy. Take care and hope you're feeling better!
