Hey y'all.  I'm sorry I disappeared for a while.  I have had an unbelievable flare for a couple of months.  I have been place on cyclosporine since I 'failed' cellcept.  I have been battling cerebritis,  joint pain, fever, and active lupus nephritis.  If the cyclosporine doesn't help my doc is going to do IV treatments of rituxan.  I'm praying the cyclosporine works.  I now take cyclosporine, plaquenil, imuran, prednisone, protonix, toprol xl, vasotec, lasix, lopid, zetia, procrit, Bactrim ds every mon, wed, fri (preventative), pacerone, procrit shots twice weekly, aspirin, Boniva, Zemplar, omacor, clonidine, and lexapro every day!  This doesn't include prn drugs.  I can't believe how aggressive this disease has become in my life.  I am fighting with disability.  My medical leave is about to run out and I will loose my insurance.  There is no possible way I can afford theses meds without insurance,  I am struggling with the insurance.
Sorry this is so long and whiney!  Just a little overwhelmed.  I have also developed knots on my wrist.  Has anyone else experienced this?
Hope you all are doing okay.  I covet your prayers.  God Bless you

Judy, I am sending you lots and lots of (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))! Can you feel them? Rosie posted a link recently about changes in how to qualify for disability with lupus and it sounds like you might need to find an attorny if you haven't already to start the SSI application process. I will keep you in my prayers!
Prayers,
Audrey Ann

Hey Judy,

Sending you some hot tea and hugs. I'll bump up a couple of posts I made recently re: the social security and help for cost of drugs.

I got a knot in my wrist and it was a ganglion cyst. The ortho doc injected it with cortizone and ruptured it on purpose. It hurt but I felt relieve almost immediately and went right back to work feeling better than I had in months. Do your lumps hurt??? Someone else may have other ideas . . . but make sure to show them to your docs.

Blessings!

Judy,
So sorry to hear how aggressive lupus has become in your life. I hope you have an attorney to help you fight the disability fight. I hope the medications begin to make a difference in your condition. I'll be thinking of you with lots of positive thoughts!

xoxo emmie
