Hi--
I just got an old aquarium out of the shed and bf bought a larger new one and we set them up and I have found it so nice to watch and the sound of the water from the filters is very relaxing.  I have some African cichlids, which are beautiful, I used to raise them ages ago.  Does anyone else like fish?
Love, Marji

We have a 55 gallon in our dining room.  Full of community fish.  I too love the peacefulness of watching fish and listening to the water run through the filters.  We also have a small aquarium in our guestroom which our new puppy decided to bark at this morning.  She wouldn't stop barking while sitting on the bed watching the fish.  It was too funny.  She also tries to "eat" the fish through the glass of the aquarium.

Have fun with your aquarium.

OH!!! I love to watch fish!!! I would probably have an aquarium if I didn't have so many other compulsive projects started.

I love animals and I have two Westies (West Highland White Terrier - dogs). They are about 18-20 lbs. they look a lot like a Scottie dog, but they are white. Cluny and Patrick are a boy and a girl and we are having puppies in two or three days!!!! Wooo Hooo!! This will be Cluny and Patrick's 4th and final litter. I'm very excited!!!

I'm so glad you got your aquariums going again. Fish are mezmorizing!! and gazing at them is supposed to lower your blood pressure. Thanks for sharing!

Blessings!

Hi, Marji. I used to have a large aquarium before my accident. I really enjoyed it. I had several assorted fish, but I also liked to add "neat" neighbors like snails and albino frogs. Make sure your top is sealed though if you try the frogs. Mine jumped out of the tank once and went completely around an island in the kitchen to jump into a bowl of my cat's water! I don't know how that tiny frog in that large room found where that water was! Anyway, aquarium's are very peaceful! Enjoy!

My mother chihuahua, my girl Goldie, is so funny about a betta we have in a bowl and the rest of the fish. She knows my female clawed cat Pita likes to kill stuff (so does she at times) and Goldie actually barks sharply and growls at the cat when she tries to get the fish. It's so funny. Now if only Goldie would correct her chihuahua son Carlito, who likes to drink out of the bowl. She's a little jealous though and seems to like to get him in trouble by not correcting him out and encouraging him to do bad. I think when I get the chance I will make a screen saver of my aquarium and see if I can get it to loop.

I love fish too! There's something that always happens with me and my fishes though. I'd buy a bunch of pretty fishes and have the aquarium set up nicely. Then there's always one fish that kills all the others and ends up living in there alone. It happens every time. Right now, there's only one fish in there.

Ever since I always wanted a cat. My mom doesn't like cats, so I never got one. She saw that I was really depressed and lonely with this flare so she gave in and I have a kitty now! He's really hyper but when I'm tired he seems to sense it and comes and purrs and cuddles up to me. It's really nice.

Pets are great.

In Florida when I was very sick, my husband went out and bought be a beautiful 35 gallon hexagon aquarium and I got to fill it with lots of fish. We had a beautfiul backgground and a faux log with a giant mushroom growing out of it. I filled it with my favorite, big eyed goldfish! It was so relaxing, the visual and the sound.

When we moved I couldnt bear the thought of my fishes dying just because I was moving, so I gave the whole setup to a homeschooling family who lived next door.

Now I want fish again!

Melissa if you check with the pet store when you purchase your fish, they can help you fill your tank with fish that will all get along. I have had that happen before too : )
