Hi--
Guess the pred is wearing off, Tomorrow I wll be on one pill.  I got so mad because we got a freak storm shower here, nothing like up north, and actually half of the news area covered didn't even get rained on and they cut off half of Days of Our Lives and talked and talked and called DOT and the sherriffs and the weather guy went on and on.  This happens all the time at our NBC affiliate, constantly at this time interruptions with weather or other updates. Up north, people would be laughing at it, it was less than most spring or summer showers, just nothing no thunder or lightning, nothing but some big puddles.  I just get so disgusted with the interruptions I called the tip line and gave them a tip to get off the air.  I got to see the last 22 mins with all commercial interruptions of my show.  I pay for my local channels as I have satellite and I'm sick of watching commercials and interruptions, since I pay dearly for my service.  Same with phone and internet and mail.  I think that if advertisers were forced to do grass roots advertising like sponsoring free drugs and healthcare for the sick, food drives, festivals, new wings for hospitals, they would build greater loyalty in the community, I mean undying loyalty, and the world would be a much better place.  What do you think?  Nothing against the ads here, they are unobtrusive, but I'm talking about adware, spyware, big huge banner ads, ads that are sent to your email.  I think if the world changed, then wouldn't it be nice to just see that so and so sponsored such and such site and leave it at that, maybe with a link if you want to ckick it, but small.  I'm mostly made at tv phone and mail.  I feel guilty throwing away all that junk mail, what a waste of resources, and sick of phone and tv commercials.  We need an organization of tv viewers to get ideas put forth.
Love, Marji

Hi, Marji. I'm sorry you're feeling the loss of your prednisone. I just hope you don't have bad physical withdrawal problems when you taper off completely. I think your nerves might be just a little on edge right now. (I'll bet the actual rain part was nice.) I do agree about the advertising problem though. Unfortunately, that's what our world revolves around now. Money, Money, Money...and how to get more of it from anybody however they can. I think it's sad. I miss the days when I was growing up and my grandma was still alive. When I think back, it's like that was a totally different time and I lived in a totally different world! Take care and keep us updated,
Always looking for the silver lining, Sharen

Sharen,
It's just part of living in the south. I worked in a newsroom for a while and know a little what's what. It's just ridiculous. I think in a way it's good I have energy and do things even if my nerves are frazzled, and they definitely are. We all just accept so much these days and things are getting bad in the world. I'm glad I'm able to think and not so depressed that I just sit and cry. This is a welcome change for me, even if I had to take an extra klonopin! I hope you are ok and I remember too when things were different. We accept things because we get something else for free and then they take the free thing away and we are stuck with what we didn't want. I need to move out to the mountains in the middle of no where. I miss the new york news, like where they have real news, not just fluff like down here in disney land where all we care about is tourists not thinking our place is as bad as it is.

WE didn't get any rain here and the shower only lasted a half hour after the broadcast so it was stupid. They do that all the time here. We haven't had enough hurricanes this year, I guess.
Love, Marji
