Hi Friends.  I had a pretty good three days off!  Didn't pummel anyone with my cane or beat the crap out of the idiots who take handicap parking spaces.  Man are they lucky!  My birds have been well behaved- especially since I recently lined their cage with newspaper headline: Death is arbitrary. Tee he.  Thanks again for all of your support.

Nice to hear that you had some good days!!!! I can't believe people take the handicap spots. I never see that here (but the police will ticket you here). I've seen some pretty healthy looking people get out of those cars . . . but I know how healthy lots of us look too, so I really try not to judge. I'm just happy I'm still in the category who does not need that spot. Your bird? Is that wishful thinking . . . uh oh . . . be careful little birdie!!!

Blessings!

Hi Rosie.  I just joke about my little finches.  I enjoy them, but speaking of birds I heard somethin' funny today, "My sex life isn't dead, but the buzzards are circling" tongue

Donna,
LOL, on that last statement you made!  I saw something on the news today about people cracking down on the one's that are using handi-cap parking spaces that aren't handi-capped. There's some group that is turning tag numbers into the police in several states. Take care Donna and I hope you have more good days ahead. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Donna,
Are you sure it didn't say parakeets were circling? Maybe as a tribute to you-know-who...Just a thought.

Mission control, this is Finch.  The parakeet has landed, I repeat the parakeet has landed... or is that buzzard?

Parakeet, this is Silly Goose. I can't tell a buzzard from a house sparrow. It could be a blue jay for all I know. Let's watch ourselves on this one. Don't get the b-b guns out just yet.

This reminds me of a southern joke about a farmer who needs to buy a rooster to get his hens to lay again. He borries a rooster from another farmer, who claims it is a very proud rooster and he puts it in with his hens. In the morning he finds his hens very scared looking, feathers torn out and huddled in the corner of the coop, tattered tailfeathers to the wire and the rooster, beatup is ambling around, proudly declaring his conquest. Well, the farmer takes one look at the rooster and says, "boy, you're in terrible shape, I can't be sending you back looking like this, and my poor hens!" The worried farmer takes him out and decides he'll put him in with the sheep for the night and let the poor hens rest. The next morning, the farmer finds his sheep huddled in a corner of the pen, tails to the wire, shocked and appalled, and the rooster more beatup than ever, proudly strutting around the pen as proud as could be. Well, the farmer said to the rooster, "you keep this pace up, you're gonna be dead by the morrow. I'm a fixin' you. You're goin' out in that field over there all by yourself for the night and maybe then you'll get some rest." Well the next morning the farmer came out and went out to the field to check on the rooster he'd borried. From the distance he could see the buzzards circling. Sadly he trudged out to the field and finally, standing over the rooster, tear in his eye, said," See didn't I tell ya if ya didn't slow down, you was gonna end up dead."
The rooster popped open one eye, peered up at the buzzards, and said, "Shhhhh! They're about to land!"

I hope this wasn't too off color, I tried to tell it in a clean way. Its just an old farm joke.

You ladies are so funny!  yeah Thanks for the laughs today.  I enjoyed the old farmer joke and all of the bird references.  I love your sense of humor.  As for the buzzards circleing your sex life - I am afraid they are circleing mine also.  I even posted something earlier today about my poor lack of libido.  Keep up the humor - it is always helpful.  :-)

If they're circling, shhhhhh, they're about to land! I think about all I can handle now is an old buzzard. Well, butterflake, its better than being out in the road and getting hit! If I get rid of my boyfriend, I think the only way I'll get another is to get a lark or something and run one over. Right now, my lark is my riding mower. Is that redneck or what?
