Well...
The 30 mg. dose of prednisone has seemed to mostly alleviate the headaches. Went to the rheumy yesterday. He is putting me on methotrexate (and folic acid) because of the high dose of prednisone. Weaning off the prednisone will start after the first of the year. They did more blood work yesterday to check inflammation levels.

He is also sending me to a neurologist. The neuro will decide if I should have an MRI, CT scan and/or spinal tap to check for "neuro/cerebral involvement".

Also had an appointment with the PCP yesterday. He called the rheumy while I was there to discuss something called "temporal arteritis" (inflammation of the temporal artery). They decided to see what the neuro says before pursuing that avenue.

Also upped my paxil to 20mg. a day rather than 10mg. Hopefully that will help me get my bootstraps pulled back up again...something I've not been able to do as yet.
