I also got baby's first pic today too. I may be due the last few days of May but I will likely deliver closer to the 1st as far as we can tell given my history and health issues. I was told the extreme fatigue is actually two issues caused by a single problem- not managing the morning sickness as well as we should be. My hair is falling out in gobs clogging the tub every time and also getting in and on everything. Thank goodness I have so much. But he says that proves I am not eating well due to the nausea. I haven't been able to take the anti-nausea as often as prescribed because I can only get 5 days at a time and it gets expensive to pay for it so often. He gave me phenorgan for at night to help me sleep better- apparently the waking I am doing is my brain thinking I am going to vomit in my sleep. So I get the older med that is cheaper for night to help me sleep and the new one during the day.

I am much relieved. I am doing better this time than ever before. Apparently the risk of miscarriage is now nil so long as I take my baby asprin. I can do light exercise- i.e. pool or walk. Until today I had been told STAY OFF THE FEET AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Today he gave me the go ahead to do stuff again- after I get much needed sleep. There was concern I would come out of remission and not be able to have the baby- for some reason I am one of the rare unlucky lupies whose liver gets inflamed from the immune attack. They said if my liver were to come under attack again I would not be able to have the baby.

I get to see the little one grow with ultrasounds for size ever 4 weeks. I am shocked just how close I am being watched now that I have the lupus dx. Weird that I couldn't get them to follow me close when I was having preterm labor, pre-eclampsia, and dilated 4cm at 28 weeks. Nope they acted like I was a normal pregnant woman then. Now they are freaked out, yet seeing the easier beginning they are hopeful.

Wish me luck, this is a very emotionally risky attempt to have another baby. I have been emotionally weird since the hormones really began to kick in- wanting to be held a lot and tearing up at the slightest provocation.

Hi redrose, here's ((((hugs)))) in advance for a tearing up time. I can't imagine being pregnant again. It must be exciting. I always liked it when they moved around and you could really feel them. My hair falls out anyway and I don't have half of what I used to. Do they want to check your FSH (follicle stimulating hormone)? That causes your hair to fall out, pituitary hormone I think. I lost a lot of the follicles so the hair didn't grow back. They might recommend a supplement, but then it could just be a phase in the pregnancy. I hated morning sickness too, but mostly I remember eating myself out of house and home and drinking a ton of milk. My cravings were for lobster, like my mom had for me, I was born in Maine, fortunately I was in Boston for my last one. Must have been my thyroid wanting iodine. Crazy stuff. Well, goodnight and I'm glad you and the little one are doing well. Could you have imagined how you feel now when you look back at the rough time waiting for social security? I tell you, for me it was like a bad dream that lasted for three years, then once I got it I was a human being again.

Well take care and I'm so happy for you.
Love, Marji

Thanks Marji and Barb, right now I am getting ready to make a trip to see my girls. Since I have an extra copy of the ultrasound I will be leaving it with them- they are so excited that they will finally be getting a younger sibling. They have been asking for one for over 5 years.
