I started with lumps in one leg in the shine area now I'm getting them in the other. DR told me they were cystic. Last night I started feeling acky joints and brain fog. I couldn't remember b/f's nephew's name, heck anymore I can't remeber grandchildrens names. MY fingers are trying to cramp and I just feel nasty all over.

I know the children I watch have been coming here with some kind of bug. Throwing up and runny poop. Can't spell the D word anymore. I hate this brain fog most of all. I used to spell so much better my mom would call me from Ky when I lived in CA and ask how to spell something. I hate not remembering things.

Hi Veronica,

I also have tissue lumps in a couple of places on my body.  They popped up unexpectedly and I was concerned they were tumors!! I had ultrasounds done on them (one on my lower back, one on my left thigh), and they are benign lupus created lumps of tissue.  I also have a few cysts which actually showed up when I was just a child.  Connection?  Maybe.  So yes, it is common to get skin related stuff like cysts, lumps, etc with lupus.

The brain fog is frustrating for sure.  It'll come and go.  Hard to get used to, but after some time, you'll be laughing at yourself over some of the things you say or forget!  We've had a few really funny threads about brain fog here.  It's better to try and find the funny side of it.  Otherwise you'll go crazy!

Blessings,
Ginny

I do laugh about the fog things some but it pisses me off too. The one cool thing to me is when I watch a show that I know I;ve seen before there are times it's lke watching it again for the first time.

Thank you for responding.

I still have not been dx as having Lupus and I know that I need to go to another dr but with no insurance it's hard. Right now I'm in the process of getting teeth pulled and that is costing alot. I have 7 on the top to still go. I'm hoping that helps some of my health issues.

Today is turning into a really bad day. My legs don't want to work right. My hands when I change daipers want to close and stay closed.

I just have to say that the brain fog is horrible sometimes! My husband is starting to notice it now..The other day I was buying gas in a store..very busy. so the lady asked me what pump number? I say 6 but-it's really 8--I'm looking right at the 8 and I say 6, what is wrong with me? sad   Thank god she fixed it for me because the guy that was on that pump was pumping my gas, then he was trying to leave...She ran out and stopped him, she really could have made me eat that if she wanted to, it was my fault.

Then my daughter got a free lesson card for Halloween and the exp. date said 11/30/07-I said, it expired already..what good is it?! My husband picks it up and said-Um, hun-it's good for another month...I don't know what to say when I do this..I feel like a little kid that needs to be watched..and as far as names, I have days where I just say-you there-with the brown hair...It's funny but, not? If that makes sense..

Oh, and the lumps..what type are they, I'm just curious..I've had five lumps removed from my breasts in the past 15 years. They always come back non-cancer but, my doctor has always wanted them out.  Are they similar or no?

I'm not sure I know my aunt has lumps removed form her arm.

This fog thing I know drives my b/f crazy. When were at his parents I always feel like I'm the most stupidiest person in the workd because there are times they finish my sentences or even fix my words because I say the wrong thing. I feel like just sitting there and not saying anything but then I would feel even more stupid.

My kids laugh sometimes because I'll have to call them back just to make sure I told them I loved them and then yesterday I was talking to my b/f on the phone he was at work he said I told him that I love him 3 times before we hung up. I don't remember that.

Hi there,

Benign breast lumps are usually fibroadenoma's.  Cysts are usually benign as well a closed sac or pouch with a difinite wall which contains fluid, semifluid or solid material  they can be caused by many reasons even a hard bang to solid object.  Many doctors remove them to avoid the possiblity of something more serious.  I have had several and have never had them biopsyed.  Althought I had the mass removed from my breast it was also a benign type of fibroademona.

Thought I'd fill you in on some lumps and bumps.

Sharon

Thank you Sharon. The ones on my legs I figure are from moving furniture. LOL

The only time that the lumps in legs bother me is when I'm not feeling good or that time of the month.

Like right now they are making it hard to walk and the brain fog is really bad. I also had problems before my period ( sorry guys) came felt like yeast infection and now it's a burning sensation so I called and got a dr's appointment for next week. She's already done the Lupus test which came back fine even though I have signs of it.
