Hi everyone,
I went to the doctor's today and am very happy to report back that everything is going great. I was put on the monitors for a bit, which I do now 2 times a week,to check the babies heartrate and my contractions. He was great, slept some of the time and was awake some of the time, and didn't show any irritability. And I had NO contractions. I can't believe it, I was so happy. So after that they took me back to get an ultrasound. They measured all of his parts, head, belly, certian bones, etc., to make sure they all fell into the right week range, which they did. He's growing perfectly normally, not to fast not to slow, putting on weight just as he should, and everything is where it should be. They estimate that he weighs 4lbs. and 13 oz. now, so we're very happy that he is continuing to thrive just as he should. The doctor said that the amniotic fluid levels are good, blood is flowing through the cord properly, cervix isn't to thin or too dialated. so it was a very good appt. We're very relieved and am getting so very excited about the nearing arrival of our little one. I'm so happy that I can just enjoy the rest of my pregnancy without worrying that he would be born way too early. Being 34 weeks, is still a bit early, but he would definately make it, but have to stay in nicu for a bit. We're aiming for 37 weeks, and of course any time after that is just a bonus really. Well, I have to be going, someone is kicking me like crazy, he must be hungry, so demanding already. I'll probably start to do a weekly post, since we're getting so close now. I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers for me and my family and hope that all of you are doing good also. Take care everyone and I'll be back in a week. Bye
