My dr has got to figure out what is going on with me. This fog thing is making me feel like I'm losing my mind. One of my parents paid me today it was 65 dollars, now if I was drinking I could understand this but I'm not, anyways I thought that I laid the money on table, when I went to get it ,it wasn't there. I don't know where I put it.

I am so tired of this and the not knowing what's wrong is driving me crazy.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. I get forgetful at times and I swear I put things one place and find them somewhere else. It is very frightening. Maybe your meds are making you more forgetful? Do you have kids? Also, I've found that some drugs effect my memory in weird ways and I remember putting something on the table, but that was yesterday, and today I actually put it in my drawer, but I have absolutely no memory of that, so my memories get mixed up. Another thing to do is to retrace your steps. Whenever I can't find something it is always in the garbage can or the refrigerator or kitchen cabinets or something like that. Usually I clean up and throw garbage and good stuff away without noticing. My family gets mad at me for this because I'm to grossed out to pick through the garbage to find whatever it is I threw away. I hope you feel better and I would let you doc know this is happening if it keeps up. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Marji

Veronica,
((Hugs)) Bless your heart! I do things like that all the time. I get so frustrated sometimes because I can't remember where I put things. I end up searching for days and find it when I'm not looking for it. I hope you find the money soon. Please take care and keep us updated. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

**Hugs** You are not alone! I am 22 years old and ive had the same classes everyday at school for 3 months now and i STILL cant remember what time any of them are at. I always arrive too early or too late! So very frustrating. As well i had to call my doctor twice to remind me of what time my appointment was at today!! I felt so bad for bothering them!

I hope your doctor can help you with this!!!!!

Thank yo all for responding. This is such a great group. I feel bad for asking so many ? because I don't have the dx of Lupus but I do have the syptoms. (SP)
I'm not on any meds.
YEs I have children but mine are grown, which is a good thing I'd proabaly forget where I put them. LOL

I watch children at home because I feel that is about all I can do to make money to help b/f pay bills since I have problems standing for long time.

I finally did find the money last night it was in a book that was sitting on the table. For the life of me I don't remember putting it there.

I am so glad you found the money.  I have gone through the brain fog too and it so hard to explain to someone unless you know what it is.

Veronica,

I can so identify with what you're going through and it's frustrating as heck. It sometimes feels like I'm old and senile and I wonder what people think when I stumble around, don't remember things, and make no sense. We're with you and we do understand. Hang in there.

Veronica,
So glad you found the money! Thank goodness it wasn't in the garbage, where I put everything! Don't feel alone. Today I was going to the docs and I became completely disoriented while driving and had no idea where I was going and couldn't remember how to get to his office. Very scary. It was as if nothing looked familiar and I had never been to the office before. I made it there though. Please take care and know we care.

Hi veronica, sending you hugs. I know it's frustrating. Been there a number of times myself. They advertise the thing called My Little Reminder on t.v. . The problem is if I got it and used it I'd set it down and lose it. I havn't set up my pill box in a couple of days and I can't remember if I took my meds yesterday or not.
Hang in there hopfully your doctors can help. In the mean tie try not to stress to much it just tends to make the problem worse.
hugs

Marji I have thrown money away before. My b/f gave me 20 dollars to get icecream for Mc Donalds one night and to this day I believe I threw the change in the trash. I just know it disappered. I wish people would understand how scary this is for us.

My neighbor next door that I hang out with told me last night after I had seen the dr and was freaking out about things, that she lives with the memory lost thing because her husband has short term memory. I told her no you don't live it like we do. It's different when it's you and you can't remember what you did 5 minutes ago or who you talked to.

I called my middle daughter today and had to ask her if I had talked to her last night and told her what dr had said. She said yes. I'm so glad my children understand. I know living away from me as my girls do it is hard for them.

Veronica.
