Hi Everyone.  My pain has been completely under control for 3 days and it feels soooo good!  Best thing is arthritis tylenol bid, and Celebrex bid, with gabapentin prn is what's working- no narcotics.  On the down side, my BUN is 29 (kidney function) and I have trace protein in my pee.  Also while getting a CT of my kidney a 3mm spot showed on my left lower lung. (If it isn't one thing, it's another Rosanna). I then got a full chest CT and the spot is still there so I'll get another chest CT in 3 months to make sure it isn't growing.  Lastly I'm still in the process of having my head examined...for falls and speech issues.  I'm getting an EEG next week and my brain waves will probably be twisted (tee, hee) devil

Hi Donna,

Nice to hear from you!  It sounds like you have a lot going on right now, but it's great that you haven't had any pain for 3 days.
Woohoo!!

Take care and good luck with your testing,

Ginny

Hi Ginny.  Thanks for the well wishes!  I'm having lots of brain fog, but several days ago I was talking to my BF and suddenly for a few seconds my brain went blank and I was just speaking weird sounds instead of words.  Anyway, because of that and my falls, my neurologist wants me to get an EEG to make sure I didn't have a mini stroke (TIA).  I think any time we lupies have brain episodes we should get checked.  I hope you're doing better Ginny.  Love, Butterflake

Butterflake, thanks for the update. It sounds like you have good news and bad news. It's great to hear about your pain being under control - I know what a relief that feels like. It sounds like you have found the right comination of medicines.

I really hope your EEG turns out okay - that sounds kind of scary about losing your speech. We always knew you were twisted, so we'll have to see if the EEG proves it :)

What is your doc doing about your kidneys since your labs are showing problems? I really hope the problems with your kidneys and the spot on your lung aren't anything serious.

Thanks for the update and please keep us posted on any lab results.

Take care

Hi Donna, gladyou are painfree with no narcotics! That's terrific! I hope the spot ends up going away or being benign or a mistake and that your kidneys get better. I think I've had a lifelong brain issue. I actually got stabbed in the temple and it hit nothing! Like a coconut. LOL. I hope you feel better and that you eeg is ok and that they don't have to put you on yet another med, but then if it helps, it might be just the thing. Well, take care.
Love, Marji

Update on the flake. LOL that was pretty good. The good news is that your pain free without narcotics the bad news is you are still twisted and you can't blame it on narcotics LOL. Boy having a good sense of humor sure helps don't it? I'm sure you know that lupus can cause your nuero problems. I just hope everything works out ok with that. I'm glad your doctor is on top of the spot on your lung. Make sure you DO get it checked in 3 months even if they don't remind ya.

thanks for the update

love ya

God Bless
