Carol,

I hope you've had a happy Thanksgiving and that your post isn't an indication that you have the blues this holiday season. Please write back and tell me how you're doing. Thanks for sending the article. I've been thinking of you and send you a great big hug.

Hi Patty, no I'm doing ok but thanks for asking. I just know that it can be hard this time of year. I am a little sad that I can't afford to buy christmas gifts because I have so many doctor bills and meds to pay for. My family all lives at least 1000 miles away. I do have one brother here but he and my sil went to branson missouri to visit her family. I did spend about an hour at a friends house for dinner and than I was tired and came home. Kind of wish I'd of brought some turkey with me for tomorrow though LOL.
I hope you had a great turkey day
love ya
carol

P.S. Patty send me an email. I can't locate your addy!

Carol, thanks for the article - holidays can be hard. I think for me I feel an expectation to be able to do a lot with extended family (more from myself than from them). I hate having to go rest when everyone else is up and having fun. Mostly my family is pretty supportive though, so I have that to be thankful for.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Hi Carol,
Hope you are doing ok for this weekend. Mine is really boring with family. My son has been around to watch some movies with me, but on the pred taper I'm eating all the wrong stuff and I've gained 10 lbs already and my sugar is not good and I even drank some wine, which I never do for many reasons. I just really screwed up and it will take weeks for me to get straightened out now. I actually lived and ate like a normal human being for a day or two. Now I'm coming down. My bf is being a jerk, his stepdad is in jail and had got beatup by his brother while his drunk mother watched, sure glad we didn't go there. Even though the pred wearing down, there are worse places I can be. Also, I have two extra pills from the taper and don't know what days I forgot them, maybe right in the beginning when I am supposed to take four? I was feeeling real good then. My bf fell asleep at like 6pm and is really grouchy. Sometimes I just want to move and change my whole life, everything. Well, I hope you are doing well, I'm here on the net so...
Love, Marji

(((Carol))),
I'm sorry your thanksgiving didn't go as well as you would have liked. I hope you start feeling better soon and can enjoy your friends a bit more. I know it gets very lonely living alone. I do cook for my family and they really appreciate it, but it wears me out. Take care and keep resting. You are in my thoughts and prayer.

Hi carol,
I can understand the medical bill issue.  I feel like I need to wrap up a few of my medical bills and put them under the tree from Santa to me.  We pay $630.00 a month just for my medical insurance with a $3,000.00 deductable.  The first two office visits of the year they cover everything but the $30 copay.  After those two visits I pay all of them till I satisfy my deductable.  The prescriptions are another story .... they pay up to $125.00 per quarter for generic drugs only.  If you need or want brand names it's on you.  The funny thing is I saw my insurance agent out and she said oh stop by the office I can save you $2,500 a year by increasing your deductable.  LOL  Thanks but no thanks!  I want my deductable lowered not raised.  I'm hoping that I can eventually get on disability and then eventually I can get medicare or medicaid, whatever it is you're eligible with under disability.

I know how depressing it can be when you have so many other bills that stop you from having the type of Christmas you would like.  A lot of people pick names and only buy for one person and that can help a lot.  I like that idea better than setting a limit of $5.00 for each person.  There's a few ways to make the holidays brighter, we just have to motivate ourselves to try it.  Hang in there kiddo, and if you need to talk I'll send you my email address.

Hugs!

P.S.  Hopefully this falls under "lupus" or the whole mess will get deleted.

Hi Gidget, thanks for the offer of your email addy. Feel free to email me anytime.  Boy I thought my insurance was bad. I have a 3000.00 cap I have to pay 25%  of everything until I reach it. So far I've got to 2850.00 So I have another 150 out of pocket to go. Unfortunately Jan. first it starts all over again.

Bab's it's good to see ya! It's been awhile. I don't mind cooking when have somone to cook for but that's not very often. I hope you aren't too worn out your self.

Hey Marji,. Boy don't holidays just bring out the warm fuzzys in every one eyes . I can relate to just moving on somewhere. I've actually thought about taking off and telling no one where I was. Unfortunately With these lousey illnesses I wouldn't get very far.

Hey Hippi, I'm actually battleing with what seems to be pneumonia again. I'm gonna either see my doctor tomorrow and go to the ER tonight. I feel pretty bad. I'm so glad your family is so supportive of you that means alot. I told my mom in an email that I was batteling sickness again. She said that she would do what ever she had to to come out and get me and take me back to arizona for the winter. I thought it was sweet until she got to the end of the letter and said I wouldn't be able to spend alot of time in the bedroom though because it would drive her crazy! So my choises are to not go there or to wear myself out by not resting because it gets on her nerves. skull

Well I'm gonna try to get some sleep again.

love ya all take care of yourself!

God Bless
