Hi All, I first posted this on the fibromyalgia forum and Ginny suggested I run it by folks here. I would really appreciate any thoughts.

38 year old female.

I have not been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but please read my post.

I've been feeling unwell and getting worse for around 4 years now. It started with nausea and my left eye twitching, then on to horrible left sided migraines and the feeling that there is a huge pressure behind my left eye. I've been to ER 3 times with chest pains and severe dizzyness. I am constantly tired and even the thought of what lies ahead of me to be achieved in a day leads to panic attacks making me feel worse. I can sleep for a whole day taking numerous phone calls to waken me. My foot hurts badly and has done so on and off for months. My sternum is really sore right now when i move. For the past three days I have felt sick and the pain at the back of my eye hasn't eased off at all. What lead me to wonder if I may have fibromyalgia is the amazing amount of sysmptoms I have or have had including I read that some sufferers give out a lot of static, I have been shocking my self and other for years to the point of a loud crack and visable spark (worse at times that others).I also have bladder and bowel problems, I urinate far too regularly and suffer from constipation and diareah. I am always so tired I used to have loads of energy. I suffer from calf pain on and off and some days it feels like I have badly injured an elbow or knee etc. when I know I haven't hit it or fell. My memory is poor and my concentration terrible (it used to be great) loads of other pains, aches and just feeling totally at a low. Even eating at the moment is difficult, the sight of food makes me feel sick at times and at other times I am just too tired to make anything.
My GP has ran blood test etc and found nothing, urine test and found nothing (except for a little blood each time) I am on nexium 40mg for acid reflux and amiltryptaline 25mg for migrain.
I cannot see another GP as here we don't really have a choice (getting an appointment at all is hard enough) and I cannot afford private health care.
Any advice please, I just want some kind of life back.

Welcome! How long have you been on the amptriptaline? Could it be side effects of it? Have you had a CT scan to rule out sinus issues (headaches & pressure behind the eye)? What blood tests did your GP run?

I totally understand your situation. I can't afford private health care either.. I was diagnosed with FM a while back, but that was after doing a lot of tests I couldn't afford to rule out everything else. It's hard to tell exactly though because the symptoms vary so much between people, as they do with lupus. I didn't even know about the static thing though. That would make sense as to why I'm constantly getting shocked or shock other people.. I just figured I walked across a lot of carpet.. haha. What kind of pain do you have? It's hard for me to really tell what the FM is sometimes and what the lupus is, they overlap.. but I can say that with the FM I get not only burning pain.. but also a feeling as if my skin and muscles are bruised. I can't be touched often without wincing. Also from what I've noticed and heard sometimes doctors will put you on certain meds for FM to see if it works, I take lyrica and in no way does it take the pain away.. but it does help some.. or it does for me. Another question, do you have painful periods? I know that's not a symptom in all women that have FM, but it is one of them.. I had really painful periods even before I developed a tumor on my ovary.. I hope you get it all worked out.
Diagnosis - SLE, FM, high blood pressure, A-fib, tachy cardia, renal stenosis.. Biliary C, seizures, hypoklemia, anemia, ovarian tumor, arthritis.
Medications - Depakote, ativan, lyrica, metrapolol, zantac.
