Just curious... How long have you had it since diagnosis?

I was diagnosed in late July 2008 - symptoms started during that month. No prior symptoms.

I had the Bulls Eye Rash in 1994.
Symptoms quicly followed. All tests previously negative.
I see a LLMD for the first time next week thanks to my aswesome endocrinologist who believes I do have Lyme despite negative tests!

My symptoms started at the end of September 2006. I first recognized a problem on Thanksgiving Day 2006, so 2 months later. I was diagnosed with Lyme in April 2007.

Not exactly sure when I got infected, but have had symptoms suggestive of Lyme for 30+ years, and one LLMD I saw thought I had Congenital Lyme (not sure about this...my Mom does not have Lyme/she's too healthy!).

Lyme my whole life. Diagnosed myself this summer 2008 despite negative Igenex. The more I learn I believe I was born with it and I am 42. My mother shares many of my symptoms, I am just much more severe. I can't get her into treatment, though. I am trying to educate her!! My history sounds similar to Razzle - I have had health problems my whole life, being passed from one specialist to the next, treating symptom after symptom. I finally crashed in 2006 and had to stop working. I have Lyme, Babesia and Bartonella.

Serious symptoms start June 2006, although months before suspicious, and years before questionable. But exactly one year of HELL before diagnosis and treatment start in June 2007...clinical dx and mildly positive bart test. 1year 5 months into treatment, significant improvement, but new symptoms have developed while others have been alleviated greatly. PLanning on 100% recovery, as I know of many, and read of several in Cure Unknown. You gotta believe!

<FONT color=blue>*no dx until 6/2007- clinical dx at llmd with a mildly positive bart test

hypermobility syndrome</i> dx, finally one western blot that no one knew how to read, and a nice round of prednisone to finish me off
June-August...Ceftin
August - October ....Roecefin IV, 9.5 weeks
October - worse than ever, bedridden, new LLMD pulled IV
October - March 21...biaxin & plaquenil, (worked a miracle),climbed step first time in 14mos
Jan - March 21...tetracycline (on and off 4 times bc hard to tolerate)

March 21 - April 19....stopped all prescription drugs, best month yet

July & August: DIFLUCAN...more improvement

September: Zithro + Mepron FOR 5 Days! Wanted to die on it, so back to diflucan for now

I just finished 10 weeks of Rocephin.  I'm a mess.  My LLDr. has prescribed Levaquin and Rifampin... but I haven't started it yet.... because I'm such a mess still.  He said, "You will get worse."  Last Thursday I had a pelvic untrasound (I'm bloated gained 20 and then lost 10 in 10 weeks), a chest X-ray and a mammogram and then I went in for my 2nd to last dose of Rocephin.  I had blown a vein, then she missed a vein, and on the 3rd try it was inserted into my left arm inside the elbow.  After my evening dose, I pulled the last line out and I just started crying and completely "lost it".
I'm a mess.  I'm so tired of being in pain.  I don't know if I can take "getting worse", and I'm really tired of sucking it up.

Jennifer,
I'm really sorry you're feeling so bad.  I was hoping this last round would do it for you.  I feel for you with the blown vein, been there, done that, and it sucks!  Do you still see Dr. C?  Is this the first time you're treating the Bart?  Did you have a PICC line for this last round of Rocephin, or did they have to stick you each time?  You have a lot of friends here on HW, so anytime you need to talk, let it all out, rant, rave or anything else we're ready to listen!  Take care, KO

I wasn't diagnosed until summer of 2007, but I've had tingling in my extremeties constantly since 2001.  Dr. C. thinks I've had LD since the early 80's from my symptoms, which would come and go.  It was the tingling that never went away and kept getting worse, that led me to keep searching for an answer.
