Hi all.So I have spent time on this board and the MS board. As some of you know, I woke up one day in June to having stabbing body pains that would hit mainly my feet, toes, hands, fingers, spine, shins-literally just came on bouncing all over my body and within two days my feet (one at a time) would vibrate on and off. I have a host of new symptoms now. My MRI of head and full spine showed no MS lesions though I hear that does not rule out MS. One of my first symtposm was extreme joint cracking which continues and I dont think is part of MS

At anyrate, I have been getting these odd muscle pulls today in my left thigh. It is like part of the muscle it deeply contracting and it hurts, like a cramp- or like someone is pulling my muscle fibers. It last for a few seconds goes away and comes back. I believe this is a symptom of MS, but is it one of lyme as well?

Thanks all!

Hi King!   I hope you are able to find out what is causing your problems.  From my experience, it seems as though there is no limit to the symptoms that are possible because of the lyme and co-infections.  It seems we all react differently, have different immune systems etc. and different combinations of infectious "creeps".  All of your symptoms have been experienced by lymers before, as the diseases can affect all body systems.  I am sorry you are suffering and hope you are able to find a good doctor to properly diagnose you.  I have heard that steroids are often given to MS patients, and I urge you to rule out lyme before you take any steroids, because it can make the lyme much worse.  Best wishes to you.   bablymers mom

Thank you for your feedback! Some of the folks on the MS boards have told me that the pains associated w MS usually does not jump all around the body at onset, nor do the twitches--that typically they are more localized to the area affected vs widespread at onset. Soo......we will see.
