I'm considering PT after reading the Burrascano stuff.
I pretty much have body aches and stiffness all the time and want to prevent muscle atrophy. Has PT helped anyone? Or are the body aches more from die-off that requires detox?

Hi LupnerRN! I am sorry to say that most of the physical therapy I had actually made me feel worse, and did not seem to help. However, that most recent place I went to Did help me a little. They were more careful about the exercises they had me do, they started off slower and allowed me to build up to the tasks slowly, and included massage and heat therapy too. It was the only place that I can say made a positive difference for me. I would like to continue going but my insurance is not the best and it costs too much to go on my own. My advice would be to be careful where you choose to go and don't overdo stuff. It would be great to find a place that actually understands lyme (yeah, right) so that they could adjust it to a "sensitive" person. Best wishes to you. bablymers mom

Hi Lupner ~

I went to physical therapy because I was very weak and deconditioned. I agree with bablymers that it is very important to find the right person. It was very helpful for me. We got my insurance to pay for a few months of it because I had some disc problems in my back show up on an MRI.
