WW: I just saw your dosage of Doxy, bid is twice a day yes? Is that adequate, I was told 200 mg daily would do nothing for LYme.  D

woodswalker - How is the Grapefruit Seed Extract? Taking the liquid form?  Does it make you feel any better?  When do you take it? With the Doxy? Thanks!!

I started with the grapefruit seed extract about 2 weeks ago. Felt like _ _ _ _ whenever I took it so I figured that was a good thing. and yes, it's the liquid form -- I do 15 - 20 drops in a half-glass of water - 3x per day -- it's definitely a acquired taste - I suggest mixing with fruit juice.)
Did some more research and decided to start the Salt/C. (found a great group athttp://www.healthyawareness.com/Archived/Salt-C/Salt-C-01385.htm ) I think that is also working. Tend to herx about 2 hours after taking it but not so bad that I can't function. I will be increasing slowly for the next few weeks. I haven't settled on a Protocol yet so I am doing both. I started doing these only after much research and learning that none of the doctors in the area were going to do anything for me except prescribe 200mg per day of doxy! (yeah, that did NOTHING FOR ME!) I am looking for another doctor but since I live in northern New York I need to travel at least 100 miles to see anyone with knowledge of Lyme.
