My turkey in Scottsdale Az,
I just had my 7 th week of treatment for my Lyme in Az. This week was tougher. 6 full hours of IV treatment a day. Long days sitting
at the clinic. I did start running a fever and sweating and I have had a headache for about 3 days. Herxing? I guess so.
I have gotten sort of thin out here. All of the IVs sort of kill the appetite with the nausea. I am required to take a ton of
supplements, twice a day.
But the main thing that I notice more than anything. Is that my mind is clear. I can finish sentences and feel things again. Like
hope and love.
In my fog I was lost and depressed. These are gone. My hair is coming back and growing like crazy now.
I was diagnosed with bart. too last week. They have added lavoquin for 30 days, oral, to my whole treatment. I had never
even known that I had that before.
I am positive that the treatment that I am getting is making me better. I already got all of my christmas shopping done!
Zippie!
2004 in Martha's Vineyard me and my two daughters then 11 mos and 6 all got Lyme Disease. This was only known to us because we found the tiny ticks on us and we got very ill. My dog also got lyme and he went lame.
We have fought it for 4 years to no avail.
We all got it again this summer is Texas.
I am now in treatment in Scottsdale Arizona at Envita.

They only just found the bart of the first time in 4 years at the fri labs here in az. It did not show up in the blood test, but it showed up in a microscopic photo. Tiny little things.
The IV treatment is for my lymes. They gave me lavoquin for the bart. 500 mg for 30 days. First time I was ever treated for it. I have never taken zithro or lavq. before this. But they gave me a special treatment along with the zithro so that it can penetrate the cells.

Even Fry Labs is admitting the bacteria in their photos may not be bartonella.  Last I heard it was a type of betaproteobacteria and Clongen labs believes it is a type of pseudomona.  Some pseudomonas are very pathogenic and some are not.

Martha's vineyard?  Do you have a positive antibody titer to bartonella?  I personally would not do the heavy anitbiotics at all, but certainly not if I was not making antibodies against bart.  Just my opinion.

I just need to put my two cents in about bart titers hiker53. There are many types of bart and only

a few that have titer tests. So to only go by titers could be a mistake also in this fight to be well.

I don't have the answers Biker.

They did not tell me what kind of barts that I have. Will have to ask. I have had my blood work done everywhere at this point...lol
It is pretty healthy except for the lyme. But I am going to do what ever the Dr.s here tell me to do at this point I am in their hands. They both have lyme and they both work all day. So they are showing me more about their treatment by their example.
I have not done alot of abx in the last 4 and a half years. My original Dr. gave me 60 days of doxy that did nothing for me.
And by Jan. of this year I was losing it..mentally. I could not remember anything. Faces, places, my own car.
Since starting my treatment here I have gotten my life back. And that is all that I really wanted. To be able to raise my daughters.
By having my life tempted with lyme. I have learned what is the most important. And it taught me to de stress my life. Cut the fat if you will.
Like seeingstars says.....it is a fight for sure...a darn long one at that. But I feel that I am getting better and that I am going to suffer some because of my treatment as well.

They only did the zithro for that 3 days. I am not on it this week. Just the levaquin 500mg. I don't know why,
but this abx is not bothering me. I mean the doxy was hard for me.That one make me so nauseated all day long.
I am eating well on this one. And none of the bowel problems..like the bleeding etc.
