I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this and if this could be Lyme relalted. Over the last few months I feel hungry very frequently, craving sweets. I began to shake if I didn't eat frquently. The shaking and feeling like I was going to pass out would stop almost immediately after eating. Now I don't even get a chance to feel hungry and this starts happening. It seems to be more severe now. I eat small meals frequently, even when I don't feel hungry and this seems to help. I also have not been able gain weight. It doesn't matter how much I eat, I'm still losing weight.
Any thoughts?

Have you ever had a thyroid work-up, sounds like it could be hyper-thyroid. D

Well i can say that i relate to this feeling you describe. about 3 years ago it started out with this strange feeling of weakness to the point of having to lay down, and shaking if i didn't get something to eat(normal food or sweets). And yes, i craved chocolate and sweets more than normal. I know this exact feeling you speak of. This feeling lasted for about the first year or two of treatment and then finally resolved. I have not felt this feeling you describe in a long time now. I also had very mild stomach pain and also pain in the gall bladder area of the liver way back in the early stages. I don't blame you for having the tests run but don't get worried, they almost always come back normal. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't have gall bladder pain also, not saying that this pain is the cause but usually goes hand in hand with this perticular infection(whether it be lyme or one of the co-infections).

Hopefully i can save you some time and tell you that all my tests always came back normal. The symptoms added up through the months following but the tests always came back normal. Gall bladder/Liver kidney function: OK. EKG: OK. Thyroid: OK. Diabetes testing: OK. Cholesterol: OK

Thanks Phsinvent! I've been having the pains in my stomach /gallbladder too. They are intense today. I had ultrasounds done 2 years ago and they found nothing abnormal. The Dr. said my gallbladder may be sludgy. I've been to the Dr.'s for so many symptoms (which now all point to lyme) only to be told there's nothing wrong. I'm so frustrated. If my Lyme test comes back negative too (which is likely because the testing method is so flawed) I think my head will explode! I'm getting really tired of being sent out the door with no answers.
Over the last few months I've had a fever and a temp lower than normal, it bounces all over and all my lymphnodes have been swollen. At least I have something that can bee seen and measured. I went to the hospital last week because I had overwhelming cognitive symptoms and a severe headache along with a long list of other symptoms. The Dr. really didn't know much about Lyme and wanted me to see my family Dr, but I refused to leave until he gave me something. He gave me an anti-inflamatory and Biaxin. My lymphnodes are now half of what they were. But now I'm out of Biaxin and my family Dr won't do anything until I get a positive test result.
This message board has brought me some comfort as I realize I'm not alone. Many have a similar story.
Thanks again.
