My lab results came back and I have elevated CD4/CD8 ratio and elevated CD 4 Helper and CD 4 Lymph, is this indicative of Lyme?? Seems to me I remember reading that they are generally low with Lyme. Anyone?? Just looking for more pieces of the puzzle...Thanks!  D

High CD4:CD8 ratio does not by itself mean you have Lyme. Nor does a high CD4 (which is why your ratio is high). I have a high ratio, but both CD4 and CD8 are very low. I think Lyme whacks out the immune system in general, whether it causes things to be high or low probably depends on how long someone has had Lyme, which (if any) coinfections one has, genetic factors, etc. This would be a good topic to discuss with your Lyme doctor.

Take care,

Thank you Razzle. I dont have a LLMD that is the problem. This is the doctor that said I would have to have a rash all over my body and live in NE to have Lyme! So...I am doing my own research here and that why I asked about the immune system. Thanks D

A CD57 test (see http://www.anapsid.org/lyme/strickerpanel.html for more info) may be helpful for you as well. Good luck,
