anybody have this as well.

I used to just eat sugary things sparingly.

Now, I awaken to sugar plums dancing in my head and think of sweat things to eat all the live longday.

I quit sugar but snuck honey in as a "healthy alternative". Now I make everything with honey (I substitute it for sugar but cut the amount in half) - carrot bread, banana bread, cookies. . . As it is Christmas, how about a fruit cake with honey, whole wheat flour, walnuts, raisons, dried cheeries, dried apricots and dates? I made three loaves of that "healthy suff" and am now starting the third loaf. This afternoon, for a break from my craving for the fruit cake, I made whole wheat bread with slivered almonds and raisons. As my husband is gone, that was dinner. I am also craving orange juice and blueberry/pomegranate juice. When I get started on this I just don't want anything else.

I am afraid all of this "good stuff" is going to kill me. I need a salad!

Craving sweets and sugar is a key symptom of candida, do you think that has anything to do with it? I know alot of people here suffer with candida due to the antibiotics. Just an idea...   D

If your cravings for sugar have intensified that much since you've gotten Lyme, it could well be the Borrelia causing the urges. It's well documented that certain infections can actually shape our behavior in order to make their host (us) more hospitable. Borrelia loves sugar and it would love you to eat more.

HTFC, just a quick note to let you know we're suffering some losses down here. Your lack of sugar intake has been noted and not at all appreciated. Go to supermarket right now to get some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and some cake.
