Hi Jennie - I remembered that we both posted on previous discussions about birth control in relation to lyme. If you take hydroxycut, it can weaken the effectiveness of your birth control. Just an FYI.

I just googled what this was.

It's a really bad idea to take any forced weight loss products when you're body is under stress from illness. There is only one sure way to lose weight in a healhy way, clean diet and exercise.

I totally agree. Last Monday I found myself in the ER  becuse I was trying to detox and lose a few pounds fast. I tried to do an all green detox and became violently ill. It was like the worst hangover of my life. So, I am now doing it the slower , healthier way. I have learned that I need to be more gentle with myself. Know what I mean?

I jut need to loss 15lbs and i am so tired lattly that getting myself to the gym is so hard.....abanana07 thanks for the info i dont need my birth control to be even more less of use.....

Stutterbug..i was alos going to do the detox thing also but hearing what you went through i will not go that way also.....i guess eating right and exercising when i can is the best i can do...thats what worked b4 for me anyways....i just got to get my self to the gym....

I worked all weekend with no sleep and yesterday all i did was sleep most of the day and slept all night. I went to the dr yesterday and he put me on 3 more months of doxy, my lyme has been making me so tired and draining every bit of energy that i have. I just dont know what to do anymore but just to rest and take it easy. My dr took me out of work for a few days so i can rest a bit. He doesnt seam to think that i have a bad case of lyme but I have been thinking of getting a second apoinon. I mite go the the rhode island hospital cause they have a lyme clinic there and i was also thinking of maybe going to see an infectiouse deisease dr. I want to check to see if i have co infections and my dr only spends like ten minutes with me and i was not satisfied with my treatment yesterday.......

jennie48: Wasnt it you that said you had access to a sauna (at the gym)? Regular sauna use will acutally help you lose weight as you detox and sweat. It is a known fact that it is the toxins in your body that keep the weight on.  D

Jennie, I am a weight lifter and I know how hard it was to stop working out when I was really ill. There is no need to get to the gym to exercise.
When I was home really sick, I was use my swiss ball, a few hand weights. walking, jump rope etc.

there are many exercises you can do at home that are as effective as going to the gym. The key to weight loss, effective weight loss, is all what you eat. A clean diet and eating 5-6 small clean meals a day will make you lose weight.

If you need help, let me know

Jen
