This is Jamie, I have been following her videos for some time now. This is her story. Someone kind person founded this website for Jamie. It is called. Jamiesmiracle.com. This is her story. You can also You Tube Jamie lyme disease and watch her videos.

We mostly all have Lyme who come here some worse then others or we know someone we love and thats why we are here. So we all know the pain all to well. But to not have any money for the right treatment to get well is sad. Hopefully she will raise enough money to start the correct treatment for her so she could go back to raising her little boy. Thanks for reading.

Post edited: Sorry, no posts about fundraising, even if it is for a good cause. People are free to check out the website on their own, though.

Hello there. I have been following Jamies story on youtube for awhile now. She seems like a really sweet girl and I know she is now forced to live with her grandparents now because she cannot fully care for herself. Im not sure how to say this and please don't take it the wrong way but most of us on here are going thru the same thing or a similar situation. Lyme has taken a hard hit on our lives and our bank accounts. Most of us cannot afford our own treatment let alone donate for someone elses. This may not be the best place to look for donations. Taking from the poor to give to the poor just does not make much sense. Who is to say one person deserves it more then any other on here. With that being said I wish her the best of luck and hope she feels better soon. If she cannot afford medical care she should be able to sign up for state assistance/insurance. That is what I had to do. I am in a similar situation in fact I also have to live with my grandparents and cannot fully take care of myself. I am 27 years old and I live in CT. I can look up the medical assistance program for her state if that will help her. They will pay for doctors and prescriptions in full.

Eric

sorry I didnt mean to offend anyone. Or make anyone feel that someone else deserves help more then others.
I dont know Jamie personally just read her story and thought I would try and help her get some help.

No that's totally cool but what you have to realize is that most of us need just as much help as she does. That's like asking her to donate for someone else on here, she can't because she is in the same position. Nothing against her personally, she seems like a really sweet girl and most of us can relate and feel her pain but most of us are not in a position to do much because we cannot even do anything for ourselfs.

Did you ever hear of the Marie McQuhae story? I found this on youtube a little while back, please watch this video.. sad It is a real wake up call, she made headlines across the world. Unfortunately story's like these are all too common.

Also, if you watch the videos, she has a husband in finance and lives in a really nice house. I think she is likely doing a lot better than most people on this site.

I hate to take sides and speculate without knowing her personally but Constantina is correct. Jamie appears to live in a pretty extravagant house and be better off financially then a lot of us. You have to remember that there is always going to be someone that has it worse then you. This forum is packed with people just like Jamie. According to her website she has raised $2,750 so far of a $25,000 goal.

Well good for her. Look I was not implying that Jamie is worse off then anyone else on here. I am sure there are plenty of people on here that are just as worse off. But I never saw there videos or saw that they had a web site to contribute to.It was just that her story and videos touched me. She has a little boy who she has to be away from because she is to sick to be at home with him. Nobody said you have to donate to her. I just thought that if some of us could help a fellow Lyme patient then why not. Someone maybe able to send a dollar and some may not. That's all.. I read that her and her husband lost everything maybe I was wrong but that's what I read. And that was why she had no health Ins. and no money. I do not know Jamie at all never ever met the girl. Her story and videos touched my heart because I suffer from Lyme, and If I could not have my medicines I think I would be dead by now or close to it. So please stop reading into something that was intended to be helpful. I am a good person with a big heart and hate to see someone be without when they could be helped that's all.

hey ria,
No one with lyme feels very good...lol, so don't worry about Eric above.
But it is nice of you and very important that you reach out and help others wiyth lyme. It makes me feel good to talk to others who feel worse than me. Or who are having really bad days.
I have to look at her site. There was another girl on her that was a young mom who was on u.tube also, and she was in the same bind., but her baby boy was also sick. But I think her husband is a plumber instead.
She too has no insurance and no job and no family and now a sick baby.
Lyme is really a bad thing to happen to a family. And it really takes its toll on people, families and lifes.
What Eric was saying is that most on her have lost their jobs, cannot get out of bed, and don't have a spouse or family or anyone to help.
This makes most people feel desperately sad and helpless.
I am very intersted in finding a way to raise funds to help those in need get out here to the clinic and get help.
I am not sure how to go about it just yet. I have a surgery to do tomorrow and 3 more weeks of some tough treatments. But when I am done...and thinking clearly....lol
I am going to find a way to financially take from the rich and give it to the poor lymies....
Not that lymies are Poor, but most have not been supported by thier insurance that they pay so dearly for. And no one is every ready to retire at such a young age and just be sick.
So I hope that god will show me the way that I am supposed to help others. Since I feel that I was lucky.
Your a good gal ria....I want to do the same thing for people..help them to get better.
2004 in Martha's Vineyard me and my two daughters then 11 mos and 6 all got Lyme Disease. This was only known to us because we found the tiny ticks on us and we got very ill. My dog also got lyme and he went lame.
We have fought it for 4 years to no avail.
We all got it again this summer is Texas.
I am now in treatment in Scottsdale Arizona at Envita.

Martha. Thank you for understanding me. I wish I had the funds to start an organization to help people who are really sick with Lyme and can not work. I wish you much luck in that and in your recovery. Sounds like you are on your way to a full recovery that's great. : )
Now Are you talking about Jamie? Because I never read or heard her say that her boy was sick? And I never read that her husband was a plumber. I'm not sure if this is the same person. I am not saying you are wrong I just never read any of that.
I do not know her screen name on here. I only communicate with her on her video blog. But I was under the impression that she was very sick with Lyme and could not care for her son Kaden. And had to move in with her grandparents so she could get well. She had to leave Kaden I'm thinking with his dad. She also lost her house and they were renting a house at that time. She never said her son was sick at all. Not sure: (
