Well, after being symptom free for a few months, and off abx for 2 1/2 months, I am experiencing shortness of breath-really bad when I walk upstairs, or just walk. I don't notice it when I am sitting. I also have occasional dizziness, and that weird muscle feeling-

Anyone else short of breath with mild exertion?  I'm wondering if it is my heart, although last month I was walking 3 miles, working out, doing pilates and feeling fine.

I am so discouraged..I'm afraid it's a relapse, or worse, my heart-I don't want to be on abx forever-I have been on them over 2 years, with a few breaks here and there

Could be a virus, Beth. Lots of stuff going around. Not only do we all have Lyme to contend with, but we are living in a new viral age--which all kinds of mutations that we've never considered before being prevalent. I think once we've battled Lyme it could be we are more susceptible to stronger (and stranger) symptoms for our immune responses to other junk.

Wait! Wait! Wait! Before you jump to that conclusion, give it some time. Even non-Lyme sufferers can feel yucky. This will pass too. Have faith.

Keep us posted.

I've read a lot of quick posts from people like this. They swoop in, state their condition, and then, we never hear from them again. They went to the other side again -- the place where healthy people live.

Yes it could be a resurfacing of the babs, but I have to be honest with you, whenever I get a cold etc. I get my babs symptoms too, intensified. Could be just leftover reaction of the immune system. We can only hope! Do keep your chin up...even if it IS babs again, look how long you went in between, which means you definitely have it on the run and are that much closer to finally beating it.

Hi beths!

just want to send you my best wishes for a super quick recovery and a whole load of strenght and healthy vibrations!!

Nearly all my friend are ill right now, one since three weeks - I agree with nervoustick - the viruses around (worldwide) get more (and more aggressive) every year;

I keep my fingers crossed and pray that its not babs!
greetings, dorit

I had this two. I don't know if it was the lyme or my bart honeslty. I could get it going fast to the phone. People would ask me if I was ok. I would also break out into a sweat with the heavy breathing like i was jumping rope.
Two years of abx and still not well. That is the pits.
You do need to be careful. And maybe look for a different treamtment now.
2004 in Martha's Vineyard me and my two daughters then 11 mos and 6 all got Lyme Disease. This was only known to us because we found the tiny ticks on us and we got very ill. My dog also got lyme and he went lame.
We have fought it for 4 years to no avail.
We all got it again this summer is Texas.
I am now in treatment in Scottsdale Arizona at Envita.

I was feeling great-up until last month. I probably got off abx too soon, or should have pulsed longer.

I also, when I was off abx, started allicin and resveratrol-wonder if that stirred something up?

I had something similar happen to me. It does get you down. Mine was a relapse but it is back under control and I am going to an LLMD next week. I went for 5 months without major symptoms just using herbs with 3 weeks of ketek pulsed when I began to feel bad (at the full moons). Then it just started coming back about two months ago and the herbs were not working at all. I believe now that you probably have to rotate the herbs more - not stick to one thing. I am starting over with whatever the doctor gives me. I will be so happy to talk with a doctor that knows what he is doing.

Hi Beths,

I am glad to hear that you have an appt. with a doctor very soon - one that you feel knows what they are doing.

Did you happen to see 60 minutes last Sunday - long, very interesting segment on the guys who started the research on Resveratrol? This week Glaxo Smith Kline bought them out for millions of dollars. What do you think of it?

Thanks and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hi Beths,

I just wanted you to know that these symptoms happen to me frequently on the bad days and my heart is fine. You should maybe check it out...better safe than sorry, but those are regular Lyme symptoms for me. Some days I can walk miles and then the next day, not 5 minutes without shortness of breath. And I wasn't dizzy for a couple of weeks and yesterday I almost passed out when I stood up. about the relapse thought....I know how awfully disappointing that is. I'm sorry if that's the case. : ( Hang in there.
