Hi. I haven't posted or visited in a while and have a question about my cd57 test. It came back 59. It wasn't done at labcorp but at quest instead. 1) are the tests done at quest reliable? 2) what does 59 mean? and 3) how much credence does this test have?

I was infected 1.5 years ago, Sept 07. I did about 2 months of abx, relapsed and then 2 months later saw an llmd and did 7 months of nonstop oral abx and antimalarial meds. I tested positive for babesia in addition to lyme. I've been off abx for 4 months now and just doing the cowden protocol with cumanda and samento. Fatigue is still present and I have a couple days a month of body aches.
I asked that I have the test done at my last check in to have some sort of marker since i'm mostly better yet still have some symptoms.

Any feedback appreciated.

Hi lillimul.  It is my understanding, the CD-57 needs to be done by Lab Corp.

According to Dr. B., it does not steadily rise during treatment but jumps when the infection is under control.  You can read his thoughts on this on page 8 at  http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf
