Mine was low, but I haven't noticed any major difference when I supplement it.

Yes, mine was low last time it was checked. Supplementing with it orally seems to aggravate some symptoms and calm others down...hard to know what that's all about. However, IV vitamin D (200 IU/day) seems to be tolerated ok. I guess I'm just super sensitive to large amounts of things.

Hi,

Thanks for the post on D. Yes, I was barely a 2 and have been on supplemental D for several months. I DO notice a difference in the pain. I live in Florida and still have low D, go figure.

Lala,

I wonder why you were told not to supplement? When your vitamin D is low, they usually give a presciption for it. I was given a prescription and took it for about a month but then started supplements and decided to just go that route. Low vitamin D can cause a whole bunch of symptoms including joint pain.
2003 symptoms started with very intense panic attacks and anxiety. Also had sound and smell sensitivities. Was in and out of the hospital from 2003-2005. Diagnosed with panic disorder.
2007 found an LLMD and was diagnosed with Lyme. Didn't start treatment.
2008 symptoms came back with a vengence. Muscle pain, joint pain, floaters, stiff neck, rib pain, slow thinking, brain fog, etc...
2009 went back to see LLMD. Diagnosed again with Lyme plus co-infections....Babesia and Bartonella.
Illnesses:
-Chronic Lyme Disease
-Hashimotos Thyroiditis
-Ulcers
-Hypoglycemia
Medications:
-Biaxin 250mg to start (starting slow and working my way up)
-Mepron
-Ultram(muscle/joint pain)
-Thyro Complex 60mg(Thyroid)
-Probiotics
-Caproyl(intestinal candidas),Psyllium Powder(intestinal cleansing support),Bentonite Magma(absorbent aid for intestinal detoxification)
-Plus a ton of other supplements

Evidently if the D25 is low and the D125 is high, supplementing can make symptoms worse. I don't know the technical part of it (my doc explained it to me, but my short-term memory is gone), but I will find out for you and will post back as soon as I can.

You don't supplement with low D25 with high D-125 levels because you'd just be
feeding the Bb. The Lyme causes the D-125 to take from
the D-25 in order to feed the Lyme.

Lala,
Are the D-25 and D-125 2 separate tests?  I haven't actually seen my results so I don't know if a D-125 was ordered.

Mine was low too.
My DR. at Enivita told me to get some sun 15 minutes a day with out sun screen on.
2004 in Martha's Vineyard me and my two daughters then 11 mos and 6 all got Lyme Disease. This was only known to us because we found the tiny ticks on us and we got very ill. My dog also got lyme and he went lame.
We have fought it for 4 years to no avail.
We all got it again this summer is Texas.
I am now in treatment in Scottsdale Arizona at Envita.
