I was given L-Tyrosine 500mg 100C at the clinic. I have been taking it for about 6 mos. I was to take three of them every morning before breakfast. But I always forgot and skipped it most of the times because I don't like walking around with gas all day.
Guess it was a good thing for me.
I gave out a huge list of supplements that I was put on at the clinic and this was one of them.
My internest yesterday here in Florida saw me yesterday for the first time since I left very ill back in Sept. for Envita in Az. I put all of my vit. in a bag and took them in. He went through all of them and said that they were great. Except for L- Tyrosine. He said that this was reponsible for killing 21 Polo horse's who all dropped dead at the Interanationl Polo Matches a couple of weeks ago. Yes, during the Match. Awful to sayt the least. Thrilled to add, we had gone to the beach that day instead of seeing that.
He told me that there is so much stuff about this on line now. And that is causes the heart to enlarge too much and I guess....stop.
I got scolded of course. I poured it out. And licked my wounds. He was also not too pleased to see my port in my chest. And so .....I am having surgery to have it removed....asap.
The good news? Well....I feel fine. I am great. But would take L-Tyrosine off of the supplement list.
Must say that he was not pleased at all with the fact that I had had chelation. He was pissed. He told me that is causes Cancer. Okay.
Well. I had it 16 times. I am not concerned. Everything causes cancer now.
The only thing that he did not have anything negative to say about what the Ozone therapy and the perioxide. He just looked at me. And I know, wanted to take my head off.
Oh and he liked the rest of my supplements and then he told me that he was happy that I was feeling better. haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
ok....so that is it in a but shell. I do respect him very much. He is an extremely highly regarded Dr. But he was not able to hep me with my Lyme disease for 5 years. So.......
But like I have posted before. I felt so much better after the Blood treatments and the C. silver and the perioxide and at that time started all of the supplements and vit.
That made me feel better than I had felt in years.
The chelation just knocked me on my butt and made me feel terrible. If it helped me or hurt me in anyways I have not been able to tell yet.
I wouldn't give it to my kids. smhair
2004 in Martha's Vineyard me and my two daughters then 11 mos and 6 all got Lyme Disease. This was only known to us because we found the tiny ticks on us and we got very ill. My dog also got lyme and he went lame.
We have fought it for 4 years to no avail.
We all got it again this summer is Texas.
I am now in treatment in Scottsdale Arizona at Envita.

Marie: The news cast here in Texas said the horses died of a selenium overdose. Selenium is a mineral and I didnt think it had anything to do with L-tyrosine, am I mistaken? L-tyrosine has to do with thyroxine (thyroid). Anyway, its a real shame as I am a horse lover.  Glad you are still doing well, thats great news.    D

L-Tyrosine is a nonassential amino acid. It is said to help with depression and works with dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. It is also used in thyroid hormones and can be found in dairy products, meats, fish, wheats and oats.

The supplement that was given to those horses was called Biodyl, which contains a combination of B-12, a form of selenium called sodium selenite. From what I understand, a compound pharmacy mixed the ingredients and put too much of something. They think it was the selenium.
2003 symptoms started with very intense panic attacks and anxiety. Also had sound and smell sensitivities. Was in and out of the hospital from 2003-2005. Diagnosed with panic disorder.
2007 found an LLMD and was diagnosed with Lyme. Didn't start treatment.
2008 symptoms came back with a vengence. Muscle pain, joint pain, floaters, stiff neck, rib pain, slow thinking, brain fog, etc...
2009 went back to see LLMD. Diagnosed again with Lyme plus co-infections....Babesia and Bartonella.
Illnesses:-Chronic Lyme Disease,Hashimotos Thyroiditis, Ulcers, Hypoglycemia
Medications:-Biaxin 250mg to start (starting slow and working my way up, Mepron(babesia), Ultram(muscle/joint pain), Thyro Complex 60mg(Thyroid), Probiotics ,Caproyl(intestinal candidas),Psyllium Powder(intestinal cleansing support),Bentonite Magma(absorbent aid for intestinal detoxification)
-Plus a ton of other supplements

Hey Dowa,
I am doing great. Thanks. I have not looked up L-Tyrosine on the internet. And frankly have no idea of what all the stuff is that I am taking. But I put it all out there for others. And now I am putting these comments out as well.
I don't know what the rest of the country is being told about the Polo horses. But DR. M knows the people. And he is very much on top of his game.
But I am just sharing the info. And I am not going to take it anymore.
He now has me doing all of the stuff that I have put off for the years that I was sick. Breast x-rays, chest x-rays, that is for the port. Eyes checked...and on and on.
It is very odd having everthing back to normal. It took me a long time to adjust, oddly.
But the one thing that seems to have worked for me the best, was the blood Ozone and the perioxide. And the huge amounts of supp. that I had started taking in the beginning of Oct.
I have always sort of starved myself. I am almost 6 feet tall. And use to model. And if I get to a normal weight for my size...well I feel like a foot ball player.
So I don't eat much. I eat healthy but not near enough for what my body needs at the pace that I keep it going.
So I think that stuff was my miracle grow.
Does anyone know exactly....how long it takes the body to replace evey single cell in the body? I think it is maybe one year...or is it less?
So with this in mind. Can we rebuild a really healthy body and a great immune system by upping the supp. and vit.s?
I am not for the heaving drugging of abx. It made me lose my mind, my job, my daughters. I am all for building a really strong immune system. And the Ozone and supp. got me there. yall......
L-Tyrosine causes a heart to enlarge. The horses died on the field while their blood and hearts were pumping hard. The 5 who were not running were fine.
Yeah the name of the supplement is known. But it is the L-Tyrosine that killed them.
So he says.

L Tyrosine is given to race horses (usually barrel) to increase their stamina and energy levels. Selenium is highly toxic when given in excessive amounts. There is a weed called "locoweed" that kills horses when they eat it because of it's high selenium. It is so sad about those poor horses.

We raced horses for almost 60 years or so. And I wonder if we gave it to ours or not.
Really sad about the horse. Cannot imagine being there at the time with my kids. Thank god I was not there.

I love horses too and it would have affected me in a bad way if I would have saw them dying. So very sad.

Martha's Vineyard,

I would probably get off of it too if my doctor told me to. Better to be safe than sorry. I'm glad you are finally feeling better.
