Is it true that I should not be taking CoQ10 with Mepron?  Should I discontinue the CoQ10 entirely or take it spaced far apart from the Mepron.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.

scorpio1960, it is my understanding that COQ10 should not be taken when you are on Mepron.  Dr. Burrascano mentions this in his treatment guidelines at http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf on page 28 (under #3).

Jelainep, LOL! At this point I think I would eat sh_t if it would help me get better.

Ticker, Thanks. I've been taking both since the beginning of February but stopped the CoQ10 today. Can't believe my doctor didn't catch this one.

I was officially diagnosed and started treatmeant in February after being sick for at least 7+ years. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around it all. I see you've been at this for a while and hope you've made progress.

Co-Q10 prevents the mepron or malerone from being absorbed. Stop it completely while on anti-malearials. Incidentally Rifampin also does the same--although not one of my LLMDs told me that.

Thanks Minerals. I'm surprised my llmd didn't tell me either. All I can say is this forum and the members willing to share what they know are a godsend. I think I read about the Mepron and CoQ10 when I was half asleep and browsing posts on this forum or else I never would have asked and would have continued to take both. When I'm feeling up to I'm going to post all the meds and supplements I'm taking and see if anyone has any advice or suggestions.
