Never heard of them. But what I like is the fact that they focus on curing us! Wow! What a concept.

I've been to two LLMDs. One was encouraging, the other just wants to keep me coming back to fill my prescriptions (I think).

One is two hours away. The other 3 and a half. SO, I don't know what to do.

I just want to get well. Baltimore is not too far from me either!

I'd give it a shot if I were you. What's 275 up front to restore your health? There is no price for health and peace of mind...

ooooh! they said the magic words. They will not treat you for Lyme Disease until we know you have it!!!

That is phenomenal. PCR is supposed to be the best test I've heard...I don't trust any test that gives "false negatives" like what they describe -- Elisa etc. I cannot say I'd trust Ignenix as everyone returns positive. SO, that leaves this guy.

Give him a shot!

I read there website. They believe that Lyme will be cured by intravenus antibiotics and if you have symptoms after their treatment it's because your immune system is not right and not because of Lyme. I also heard that one of their doctors was indicted for I believe I was told tax evasion and he lost his liscense to practice.

I called to make an appointment and there were too many things that didn't seem right.  A doctor who recently wrote an article on behalf of the clinic (Jan-Feb 2009) was no longer there..."but we still use her treatment plan."  They didn't tell me why she wasn't there any more, which other places in the past have revealed such information when the relationship ended on good terms.

When I asked about the $275 fee, the nurse was like "um, somewhere around $275."  Not a good sign.   Finally she told me the treatments they use for removing biotoxins is IV and runs $600 - $800 a session with 6 sessions minimum.  She was quick to tell me that if other things were needed in the IV that would be more.   They also believe in ultra high doses of IV vitamins.

They gave me some shady answers on why the doctor wasn't covered by Blue Cross as well.  I believe the answer was "because he's not available 24-7."

Needless to say, I won't be going there for treatment.

A more interesting question than why Blue Cross doesn't work with them, is why even those other insurances that DO work with them, work with that facility. From what I have read here in the past, I would presume that no health insurance would ever want to work with any doctor who uses long term antibiotics.

Ok,   Hold the press.....

Hear is my experience with this place... not a good one at that.  My husband got the name of this place from someone on his route.  Apparently, this person had also been seeing my current doctor and decided to switch to haverdford wellness.. All in for different opionions, I decided to call this place....

The first red flag was the fact I only had to wait for 2 days for an initial appointment.. usually, it takes a lot longer to get in with an llmd.  I was told my ins would cover it  but when I got there, they werent taking my blue cross plan... Good thing I had my credit card...   I met with the office manager before I even met with the doctor because my ins was out of network and they had to discuss expenses....(did I miss something)  I got this whole speil on how much it would cost, and the fact that I would have to drive there everyday to get infused with antibiotics  because the dont do home care (ofcourse they dont, they make the money by infusing it themselves.  Now I live about 2 hrs a way in each direction and was like ahhhhhh "do you people realize that your dealing with sick people, and you expect them to make this trip 5 days aweek?????

The meeting with the doctor was even more of a red flag.... I was met with 2 docs, one supposidly an expert on Lyme who told me that it only resides in the brain with about 5 percent in the body..... and that I would not get well with out iV rocephrin that they provide for 2 months in addition to nutritional iv pulses...  I knew it was impossible to make those types of claims as alot of people have been on it for more than two months and not been cured...

When I called, the women on the phone also told me the doctor was well versed in accupuncture and I was like great... but when I asked him about it, he said yeah, I know a little bit....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

However, I let them draw my blood, the use quest and MDL in NY.... tested neg with bart, neg with lyme pcr, neg with lyme elisa, but igm showed band 23, and an almost positive 39 band...  However, after leaving this establishment, I knew I wouldnt be going back so I cancelled my next appointment with them and requested my blood work.....  I had to speak with the office manager to get these tests, and it took over 3 weeks for them to mail them.....  (with me prompting, faxing and calling them)

I did not have a very good impression of this place and am out 300.00...  they also tried to sell me supplements on the first visit...

If you have any other questions, please email me..

I did 4 months of iV rocephrin and it did nothing for me. I had friends that went to this clinic and after the initial consultation they decided to go elsewhere. It sounds like they are trying to profit from others misery.

That totally sucks. This is good to know though! I was thinking of making the trip as they said the magic words, "We don't treat unless we know what we're treating..."

To me a PCR test -- a gold standard in Lyme testing for now -- is worth all of $300. So, I might go for that anyways.

Still the run around and the lack of knowledge is embarrassing on the doctor's part.

We need a breakthrough with this disease -- we need one badly.

also pcr is not the best or worse over any test it can give false negative also
The line is faded not showing where Lyme came in. I became a new Mommy n my Lyme decided to show itself. Swollen elephant like knee and finger and limiting back pain. Bell's palsey, weight loss as if I had no muscle on my bones anymore. And much more text book lyme symptoms. To a Lyme doc, after alot of there is nothing wrong with you and a recommend to counceling,he said V this is Lyme. What kept me pressing on I had Lyme while I was pregnant. I know I was not infected while pregnant. I am watching her with an eagle eye. God Bless everyone. Love Veronica. Were the ones who know about Lyme not the doctors. Isnt that just mad? Backwards. Alice in wonderland.
