I used to do that a few months ago. I could never figure it out either. Maybe my body got used of waking up at that time. I don't know. Do you get up to use the bathroom when you wake up?I think that may be what happened to me.

People with lyme dont go into rem as well or as deeply as healthy folks your body must be thinking its time to wake up because your phasing past rem quickly.
The line is faded not showing where Lyme came in. I became a new Mommy n my Lyme decided to show itself. Swollen elephant like knee and finger and limiting back pain. Bell's palsey, weight loss as if I had no muscle on my bones anymore. And much more text book lyme symptoms. To a Lyme doc, after alot of there is nothing wrong with you and a recommend to counceling,he said V this is Lyme. What kept me pressing on I had Lyme while I was pregnant. I know I was not infected while pregnant. I am watching her with an eagle eye. God Bless everyone. Love Veronica. Were the ones who know about Lyme not the doctors. Isnt that just mad? Backwards. Alice in wonderland.

i'm not sleeping well either havent been for yrs now. if i fall asleep by 5 or 6am i am lucky, but no matter the time i never sleep past 12 noon even if its 8am b4 i sleep. then when i do sleep i am up looking at the clock about every hour to hour an half. not to use the bathroom or anything just look at time then roll over and go back to sleep. needless to say i am a walking zombee most of the time.

i think in part this is doe to the pain i'm in too. no matter how i lay i hurt and when i stay put for any lenth of time it hurts wrost if that possable..

let me ask ya'll this. i have notest i dont dream anymore. not sure if its cause i'm not sleeping long enough or if i'm not sleeping deep enough. does anyone else notiest this?

as you can tell its 2am here now for me and i am wide awake :(

Rottendog,

I am wide awake too. I wish I couldn't sleep past 12:00pm. I sleep way too much. If I go to bed late, I wake up late then I get my days and nights mixed up.

I still dream. I've always dreamed but lately it's been more vivid and sometimes scary. I think it may be the pain meds I'm on that's causing the weird dreams.

Vitamin B6 deficiency causes us to not remember our dreams...

I hear you on the sleep troubles...if I go to bed before midnight, I wake up too early to get up for the day. But if I wait until after midnight to go to sleep, I generally cannot fall asleep until after 3 or 4 am (sometimes later), and then wind up sleeping until mid-afternoon. It is so crazy.

Yes, I have had times when I wake up every hour to hour and a half, for no obvious reason. It is so frustrating, isn't it?

Good luck,

Hoping-

Have you tested your adrenals? If you have low cortisol, that can lead to low blood sugar which can wake you usually around 4 a.m. every day. I have this and I would usually wake up between 2 - 4 a.m. almost nightly. I am supplementing with a natural cortisol supplement and now I no longer wake up.

That is interesting about the deficiencies. I've never thought of that. Different meds. can interfere with sleep, and they seem to affect everyone a little differently.

I have a hard time falling asleep and then staying asleep.  I usually wake up at 2am.  I have tried time released Melatonin and it was suggested that I try a high protein low cal, low carb snack before bedtime.  It is suppose to help with your blood sugar level which could be dipping too low and triggering me to wake up.  I do have a easier time falling back to sleep.  Hope this helps, KO
2001 symptoms started:
Tingling in fingers and toes both sides, not tested at that time for LD
2007 Summer tested pos. WB, diagnosed with LD, tested neg for co-infections thru Igenex
Abx - Doxy 100mg 2x/day for 3 weeks (before diagnosis)
Amoxicillin 1gm 2x/day for 1 month
Amoxicillin 1gm 3x/day with Probenecid 500mg 2x/day  5 months
Currently on Dr. Zhang's protocol stopped Zhang's after 6 months symptoms returned.  Started Buhner's protocol May 2009

in the last 2 yrs i have had everything tested and with off the different meds i am on, most of witch causes you to be sleepy.well they make me hyper insted. yes i am odd . i have delt with insoba all my life. and i was a hyperactive child on ridlin to calm me down as a child. so many meds work backwards on me. i did just find out my B12 is on the low side of normal at 250. range is 211-911. my PCP wasnt conserned about it. i have been tested for dibetis many time and my suger always comes back normal 98 should be betwwen 80 and 120.now that i have lyme anything can happen i am seeing and hearing.
i know that at least once a month i sleep up to 12 hrs of pure exstion. this has been going on with me for many yrs now.

i have normal everything regarding all standard blood tests including two B12 tests.

I'm worried as I feel really strange lately. Like chemically strange and I don't know the cause only I feel like I've got more of a chemical illness than a tick bite natural one. Does that make sense at all?

I've been sick with Lyme and this is either new phase of it or something different altoghether.

Again, slept two hours, but wasn't so lucky getting back to sleep this time. My neck is in extreme pain.
