Lately, I get to the top of the stairs to go to the bathroom and my heart is pounding and I'm hot and ready to start sweating. This even happens walking from the living room to the kitchen.

Is this a babesia thing or a lyme thing or both or am I alone in this? My heartbeat feels so abnormal that I constantly feel like I'm going to pass out (unless I'm laying down and even then sometimes I can feel the irregularities).

I sat on the couch and went through a pile of papers this past weekend (we had to get ready for installation of satellite TV) and it triggered pain and exhaustion, so I know what you are talking about...no, you are not alone.

I've been sweating my butt off lately and I'm barely moving. I have no clue what's going on either. When I say sweat, I mean sweat big time. I've had night sweats from the babesia but never this bad during the day. I'm not out of breath at all ski have no clue what's causing it. It must be something changing in this disease.

I also get the pounding heart but not when I'm moving. It comeson when I'm sitting down doing nothing. I get fast heartbeats too...sometimes over 120 beats per minute. That's tachycardia.

At work if I go up more than 2 floors in the building stairwell I'm done for; legs weak and heart pounding; have to stop and rest. Not cool when other people are on the stairwell and might notice! Not sweating, really, though unless the AC is broke.

I've just been sobbing into my pillow for the last hour. I don't know if I can handle this anymore. My mother is at the end of her rope with it as well - she says I better do exactly what the LLMD says next week or else she's just done with me. I know he's going to want me on abx and I'm so afraid that's just going to set me back even further. I want to detox and go the natural route but my mom will never agree to that and she's footing the bill.

What exactly does the natural route entail in your vision? I personally only did abx for one month and that was some time ago. I've come up with lots of ideas for diet, exercise, supplements/herbs/etc that I think might work for me but every single day I end up putting it off. I always think tomorrow I'll stop eating the junk food, start the exercise tomorrow, start doing the vitamins/herbs tomorrow, etc. Any little excuse is all I need :(

Jennifer,

Do you like to be called Jen or Jennifer? Since your mother is footing the bill, then just go the antibiotic route for now. You can always do the natural way later. Most people start off with antibiotics then finish with supplements or herbs. Can she go with you to your appointment? I think it will make a mch bigger impact on her if she hears what the doctor says. It took a while for my husband to understand what was really going on with me. He would get agravated with me at the
beginning because he thought I would exaggerate my symptoms. Finally, being with me in the
doctors office, he really realized what I was going through. Just do as your mom says for now and
maybe you'll be able to get her to understand as time goes on. BUT, you really need to give this a try and STAY on your meds. Show her that you mean business and that you are committed to getting better. I think she will come around.

I agree with CajunGrl. I prefer the natural route too, but for this I knew I needed the stronger abx. to get this under control. Now that I have had 3 months of abx., the last one IV ceftriaxone, I am feeling much better, but still plan to do the herbal treatment, because I am not convinced that it was long enough.

Most importantly, don't give up!

I don't know what EXACTLY I'd want to do...I know detox is a big part of it. Have any of you ever been to Kris Carr's website Crazy Sexy Cancer? It's www.mycrazysexylife.com

She had an 'incurable' cancer and changed her lifestyle completely to get all of the toxins out of her body and is doing well. The site is informative at the very least, but you can also find great support there - and you don't have to have cancer to feel welcomed. She explains many detox methods and everyone does detoxes together once a month for a few days...it's really really cool. I learned a lot from the site and from her experience.

On top of detox, I don't know much about herbs for Lyme besides Cat's Claw. I haven't read about any other regimens. We'll see what happens. Right now I'm really trying to make it to the next moment.

This has been one of my scariest symptoms for 3 years. Now after 3 months of antibiotics, I notice I never have it. YEAH. I have lyme and erlichosis. I must say I wonder if it will come back when I stop antibiotics. UGH

Jen--Check out this link to Dr. Zhang's site. His herbs are really helping me. He has a book that explains why he does what he does for Lyme. You also have to remember that Lyme damages every cell in your body. Even if you could magically kill all the Lyme today, the damage remains and it takes time for cells to regenerate and return healthy. My infrared sauna really helps with the detox. Got a portable one on ebay for under $200.

We all would like to go the natural route, however this bacteria calls for the big guns of antibiotics in the beginning if you want to get a handle on it. Some people can get away with just taking herbals but not many-not many at all. JUST DO IT! The more time you waste the more the bacteria grows. At some point your own immune system may be able to handle Lyme on its own, but for now listen to mama! Be sure to take probiotics at least 1 1/2 hours after each antibiotic dose and you will feel better soon. When you get to that point then you can do the natural herbal route. Somehow you have GOT to get the bacteria load down or you will surely get worse. I would be more afraid to do Nothing if I were you. This could mean everything for your future. Blessings

P.S. The above post was for jendays247 and P.S.S. Your symptoms sound like babesia as well.
