Maybe some of you have heard of this?

A local paper here published 3 articles on Lyme and chronic Lyme on April 1 of this year.  One article's headline is: 'Home Remedy Helped'.  The person interviewed stated he'd traced his symptoms back to 1993 and was officially diagnosed w/ Lyme in 2005.

He stated that at one point in his deterioration his liver, gall bladder and bile ducts had almost shut down. His body temp had dropped to 92 and his thyroid quit working. His saliva was yellow and his entire body was toxic.  He could hardly drag himself from one room to the next.

He came across a web site for a Dr. named Hulda Clark who claimed her 'cleansing' concoctions could cure a variety of diseases, including Lyme.  He said he spent $9 at the store for the ingredients, which were epsom salts, olive oil and pink grapefruit.  He credits this concoction for 'giving him back his life'.

He said the things that came out of him were not suitable to print in the paper.  he said, 'But it did and by the next day at lunch, all of a sudden I was famished; I felt good. It was the most amazing change.... !'  He said '6 months ago, I wouldn't have been able to talk to you; I could have mumbled words from my bed.... Now I feel good. It's amazing.

RD: It could be worth a shot, what do you think? I plan to try it, depending on how my tests come out.  Good detox, if nothing else, right?

Every single person is different and has a different body chemistry. Everyone's disease is in different states. So I believe there are 'cures' and/or remedies that may work for some, yet not for others.  As long as there is no risk in the trying, I think, why not try?  And even tho his symptoms may return at a later date, well, he experienced wellness for over 6 months, right?

Yeah, I agree. Yet if it can offer even just a little relief for some people, it's worth trying, since it really can't hurt anything either.

Just be careful if you are taking certain medications - they can interact with the grapefruit. Ask your pharmacist if you aren't sure about your meds.

RD,

The only time you will probably notice any relief when doing a detox bath is when the antibiotics or whatever one is taking is killing off the bacteria. The detoxbath is to get all those killed bacteria out.

Be careful with the grapefruit like Razzle said. I'm not sure, but I think it's either blood pressure meds or cholesterol meds you cannot eat grapefruit with.

The olive oil epson salt grapefruit is a concoction often used to cleanse the gallbladder. People with severe gallbladder issues encounter extreme pain every time they eat anything with the least amount of fat in it. It limits what you can eat and malnutrition can result. An under nourished body cannot fight anything. Perhaps his cleansing his gallbladder allowed his body to better fight off the Lyme.

I have one of Hulda Clark's books and have done the liver/gallbladder cleanse many times in the past. Last couple of times I did it I threw it all up. It is hard enough to get down, but on the way up it is even worse. Ugh! Later I found out why my body rejected it. If you have live parasites in your liver the cleanse does not work and you just get sick from it. I found out I had about 5 different kinds of parasites in my liver, as well as a bacterial infection. No wonder I threw it up. So to be safe, you might want to do a parasite killing protocol before attempting to do the cleanse.

I think the cleanse, if your body is ready for it, is very helpful. I don't think, however, that it will cure Lyme disease. It will just help you detox better as you kill the bacteria, etc.

Sher, what kind of parasites invade our livers?
